Odoo is a digital business solution that offers users an all-encompassing ERP suite for several business operations. The company was founded by Fabien Pinckaers and is currently based in the U.S, with branch offices in several other countries.

This software has up to 40 business applications in its suite and can perfectly serve small and large businesses. In addition, you can decide to use it as a cloud-based application or a self-hosted software.

Its accounting application is pretty much like most of the accounting software you’ve come across. You can efficiently run your accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, analytic accounting, asset and revenue management, charts of accounts, and several other accounting procedures.

This module is $10/m and reduces to $8/m when paid annually. If it’s the only module needed then it’s free for the user. You get a sales pipeline that’s created using the Kanban board style, real-time forecasting, reporting tools, robust contact storage and management, some automation features, and dashboards that can be customized.

Sales + Invoicing

Before getting the sales module, the invoicing module is required. Each one costs $5/m or $10/m together which is reduced to $8/m when you register for an annual plan. Like the CRM, if they’re the only modules you need then it’s free. The sales module allows you to send quotes to clients who can then review, approve, comment, or reject. If it’s approved, it can be transformed into a sales order with the click of a button.

Odoo is an expansive platform and it’s easy to get lost or confused by what’s on offer. If you’ve never used a CRM, it’ll take some time to learn the nuances of Odoo. In many cases, dedicated training is required.
