Company Background

Sendinblue was established in 2012 by Armand Thiberge and Kapil Sharma to create an easier way for businesses to send transactional and promotional emails. Over the next few years, it developed into a platform that equips companies with the ability to handle customer relationships across multiple touchpoints. The CRM part of the product is aimed at simplicity, so your team can get in, retrieve the most important information, and take action on it. As a CRM, it’s perfect for small and medium businesses in any niche.

Plans & Pricing

Sendinblue has unique pricing when compared to similar companies. Normally, you’re charged based on the number of contacts you have or the number of users attached to your account. Instead of that, Sendinblue charges based on the number of emails you send every month.

Features & Functionality
General Features

Like many other CRMs, Sendinblue is has a cloud deployment which makes it possible to access your contact database from anywhere. Most, if not all, web browsers are supported. It has a mobile app but it doesn’t support the CRM functionality so if that’s the main reason why you want to use Sendinblue then it’s not worth downloading. At its core, Sendinblue’s CRM is a basic tool that has a few features which make it useful.

Task management

This isn’t quite as advanced as a fully-fledged project management tool like Monday or Zoho but it does just enough to keep you on track. You can choose from a limited number of tasks such as email, call, meeting, lunch, and a todo. When selected, it asks for basic information like date, time, duration, the contact, and who’s in charge of the task. It’ll keep you organized but it won’t give you a deep look into your sales pipeline or provide detailed reporting.

Chat functionality

With the chat functionality, you’re able to capture and qualify leads. After adding them to the CRM, it becomes simple to keep track of the relationship, add notes, and eventually close the deal.

This is one of the most important aspects of CRM. Sendinblue uses lists to organize contacts based on criteria you find important to your organization. One contact can be on more than one list and you can also add specific customer attributes.

With that being said, it does have a wide range of integration partners such as Magento, Shopify, and Google Analytics. Integrating with other services is as simple as copying and pasting a few lines of code.

Ease of Use

One thing the CRM has going for it is its simplicity but It lacks a lot of the features you’ll find in other CRMs. Those features, though useful, can be confusing for users. The Sendinblue CRM doesn’t have that issue.
When you first sign in, you have the option of adding it as one of the menu options and getting started with creating your first contact list. After that, it’s a matter of editing the details and organizing contacts in a way that works best for you. Sendinblue is a very straightforward and simple CRM tool to have.

Customer Support

Sendinblue offers a variety of support channels and in multiple forms to cater to its sizeable customer base. From online reviews, it seems the support is quite responsive. I contacted them on a Saturday night about an account issue and had an answer when I woke up. With that being said, support is limited based on the pricing tier you choose.

Final Word

Overall, Sendinblue is definitely a powerful marketing platform that assists small and medium businesses to grow their contact list and revenue as a result. The CRM platform has a few benefits for an organization that’s just getting started with relationship management and needs a quick and simple tool to do so. Sendinblue allows you to upload your contacts, categorize them into lists, and also add specific customer attributes. This allows you to use the marketing automation features to send timely messages that move them further down your sales funnel and finally, have a better conversion rate. The remainder of the features are considered to be basic. You can choose from half a dozen tasks but the reports are seen to lack clarity and there’s no visibility into your sales pipeline. With that being said, the CRM itself is free and offers the essential features needed to get started.
