Company Background

GoToMeeting is one of many platforms provided by LogMeIn, a company exceeding 3,500 global employees and in excess of $1.3 billion in annual revenue.  As one of the world’s largest SaaS companies with tens of millions of active users, it delivers a series of products that unlock the potential of the modern workforce.  For the over two million customers worldwide, LogMeIn’s series of services have become an essential part of their daily lives.

Plans & Pricing

Unlike pure VoIP telephony services, GoToMeeting is billed per organizer.  An organizer is one who can schedule meetings, invite participants, share recordings, and access meeting details.  It is important to note that participants of GoToMeeting hosted meetings don’t have to be subscribers to the service.  Only the organizer is required to be a registered paying subscriber.  In this sense, the service essentially delivers the power and ability to host online videoconferencing meetings of a particular number of participants.

The GoToMeeting plans conform to the common three-tier pricing scheme that we often see from similar service providers, consisting of the Professional, Business, and Enterprise plans.  All three plans include typical but functional collaboration features such as screen sharing, HD quality video, instant messaging, presence features, participation via the web, as well as dial-in conference capability.

Professional

The Professional plan permits a maximum of 150 participants, the Business plan 250 participants, and the Enterprise plan up to 3,000 participants, ensuring that GoToMeeting is indeed a service that can be used by businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Business

In addition to a higher number of participants, the Business plan includes services such as transcription, drawing tools as well as keyboard and mouse sharing.

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan in turn, adds the ability to link your meeting with existing third-party conference room systems as well as delivering useful management services for large enterprises such as dedicated customer success manager, volume discounts, and onboarding and training.

Features & Functionality
General Features

GoToEnterprise family

One of the most attractive aspects of GoToMeeting is the fact that it belongs to a suite of services provided by LogMeIn, a name that has a long history of high-quality, functional, and practical business communication, collaboration, and workflow platforms. As part of the GoToEnterprise family, GoToMeeting can interoperate with other members of this family.

Included along with all three plans, you have the opportunity to expand your business’ services by enjoying advanced webinar features. These include on-demand webinars, polls, handouts, marketing integrations, and much more.

In addition, you can seamlessly add videoconferencing hardware to turn any conference room into a communications hub for your business. Ease of Use

GoToMeeting’s philosophy as far as the design of their software and services seems to focus on ease of use. It looks like they’re succeeding in applying this philosophy. Things like one-click meetings enable you to get started immediately. Similarly, the process you need to follow to get up and running is quick, clean, and uncomplicated. Both the mobile app and the desktop software are intuitive and straightforward, as is the organizer’s dashboard. Adding users, placing them in groups, and generally orchestrating meetings can be done quickly and easily. From the point of view of both participant and organizer, virtually all users have reported a pleasant and easy communication experience.

Customer Support

Being a big name and being part of a larger family of services, GoToMeeting has a robust and comprehensive support system in place for online chat support, online ticketing, knowledge base, documentation, as well as a telephone helpdesk. With a dedicated support website from which to reach all of these features, you can start by typing in a question, and you’ll be automatically directed to the appropriate documentation, knowledge base, or resource. If you still have questions, you can open an online ticket, or call in your problem 24/7.
The support website makes a very effective effort to give the information you need in order to avoid having to call in and wait in any telephony queues.
