VeePN VPN's Offerings
VeePN provides three subscription plans. All these plans offer the same features and functionalities, with the longer-term plans offering huge discounts.
The first plan is a 1-month plan that costs $10.99 a month and comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. The second plan is a 1-year plan that costs $5.83 a month, billed as $69.99 every 12 months. The last one is a 5-year plan that costs $1.67 a month, billed as a one-time payment of $99.99. The last two plans save you 47% and 85%, respectively, and they come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The VPN provides a less-advertised 1-day free trial if you wish to try out the service first.
Customer Support
VeePN provides live chat support. However, it’s not really “live” as you won’t get an instant reply (or even a queue number). You also have to verify the email address you’ve provided to get a response. In our case, the representative got back to us after two hours. Apart from the chat, you can also send an email or file a ticket.
However, you don’t have to reach out to the representatives as the website has a support section where you can find troubleshooting guides and setup instructions.
Features & Functionality
General Features
VeePN offers several standard and advanced features.
NetGuard
NetGuard is a VeePN feature that is meant to make browsing faster, safer, and more convenient. It does this by providing three functionalities: ad blocking, tracker blocking, and malicious website blocking.
These three are provided as different features that you can turn on when using the apps. The adblocker prevents pop-up ads and auto-play videos. The tracker blocker prevents user profiling, while the malicious site blocker protects you from phishing sites and others that host malware.
Kill Switch
VeePN provides a kill switch that is meant to prevent accidental exposure. It does this by blocking all internet connections when the app senses that you’ve lost your VPN connection accidentally. The feature comes in handy if you don’t want to risk exposure, for example, when using BitTorrent.
Double VPN
Double VPN is a security feature for people dealing with sensitive data. It enhances security by tunneling your traffic through two servers, with each of them providing encryption. For example, you can connect to a server in Germany through another in the UK. The UK server will encrypt your traffic, and the German server will also do the same (double encryption) and act as the exit node. However, double VPN usually slows down connection speeds significantly, and so only use it when necessary.
DNS Leak Protection
This is a privacy feature that ensures that all your DNS queries are encrypted and sent through the VPN tunnel. It therefore prevents accidental exposure that can happen without the user’s knowledge. VeePN uses a private DNS to maximize privacy.
Streaming
VeePN promises to let users access Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Amazon Prime Video, and more. We found that the VPN lives up to its word during our tests. We were able to unblock all these services without an issue.

VPN Protocols
VeePN is registered in Panama. This is a good choice of location as the region doesn’t have any repressive data retention laws, and it’s out of reach of the 14-eyes data sharing multilateral.
The VPN previously stated that they don’t collect any browsing data or connection information to maximize privacy. However, their privacy policy has been updated, and they now say that they collect IP addresses and connection time stamps. This is not ideal, but you don’t have to worry as long as you don’t break the law.
In terms of security, VeePN does well to provide AES 256-bit encryption, which is the gold standard. The VPN also allows users to select between four protocols:
- OpenVPN (UDP & TCP)
- IKEv2
- Shadowsocks
- WireGuard
Privacy and security are also boosted by NetGuard, a kill switch, and DNS leak protection.
We tested for leaks using several servers, and we were glad to see that VeePN doesn’t have any IP, DNS, or WebRTC leaks.

Supported Devices
Available on a wide range of devices for flexible use.

Payment Options
VeePN accepts payments via credit/ debit card, PayPal, AliPay, Cryptocurrencies, and Paymentwall.

Ease Of Use:
The VeePN website is well designed and easy to use, and it provides lots of information about the VPN. The subscription process is pretty much the usual; select a plan, choose a payment method, and provide your email address.
From there, you can download the app for your device(s). The VPN provides apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android TV, and Fire TV. There are also useful extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, although these are proxies, and they don’t offer encryption.
The Windows desktop app, in particular, is quite easy to use. Once you log in, the app displays an optimal location, your exit IP address, a kill switch button, and a huge login button. The kill switch feature worked well during our tests.
Verdict:
VeePN has some strong positives, such as unblocking Netflix, ad and tracker blocking capabilities, decent server network, apps for almost any device, and more. The VPN’s only major downside is the fact that it keeps some logs despite being in one of the best privacy regions. But apart from that, it comes out as a decent VPN with real potential, and the 5-year plan can help you get it at a bargain.
