WordPress.org Web Design Software's Offerings
WordPress.org is a free and open-source content management system. It does not have any pricing plans; instead, it is offered free of charge. However, users may choose to purchase additional services and products to enhance their WordPress.org experiences, such as web hosting, custom themes, plugins, and more.
Additionally, users may choose to upgrade to the premium version of WordPress.org, which offers more features and support.
Customer Support
The WordPress.org team offers comprehensive customer service to users, including support forums and tutorials to help with setup, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as detailed information about the platform.
Additionally, the team offers online chat and email support for more technical topics and help with managing more complex websites. WordPress also has a dedicated YouTube channel with a wide array of tutorials.

Chat Support
WordPress has a customer support chatbot available from anywhere within the platform. It does a great job of fielding most questions and technical issues.
Email Support
WordPress provides email support to help users get assistance with technical issues or other questions related to the software tool. It can be accessed directly through the chatbot.
After entering my information into the contact submission form, I received a confirmation email immediately and a reply less than 24 hours later.
Community
WordPress has an extensive online presence and a large community forum where users can ask questions, share their work, and collaborate with others.
WordPress.org is the community behind the WordPress software. It is an open source project, which means that the source code is available for anyone to use and modify. The community is made up of WordPress users, developers, and enthusiasts who contribute to the project in a variety of ways. Some members of the community contribute code, while others help with documentation, support, and localization. The community is collaborative and welcoming, and there are many resources available to help new members get involved and learn more about WordPress.

Performance:
Lag
I used WordPress on multiple wifi networks and found the setup and editing to be very responsive. I did, however, run into considerable lag issues while attempting to collaborate on the draft site. For demonstrations of both, check out the Block Editing & Collaboration videos.
Collaboration
WordPress.org does allow for additional users to the site for editing and admin purposes but does not allow for real-time collaboration. Click the video for a short demo:
Ease Of Use:
Initial Sign-Up
Initial sign-up was fairly easy. The site designer can either be downloaded or connected to a host of your choosing. For this video, I connected my new WordPress draft site to an existing host platform.
Templates & Themes
The WordPress Library is arguably the largest of all web design and build platforms. There are thousands of templates and themes to choose from both internally and from 3rd party providers. Click the video for a quick tour through their library:
Block Editor
WordPress has multiple options for editing, but the most popular is the block editor as shown in the following video. It is intuitive and easy to use for site builds.
Code Editing
WordPress is primarily a visual building tool via block or other editors, but it does allow custom coding within the interface. Click the video for a shot demo:
Uniqueness:
WordPress.org allows users to access the source code and modify it according to their needs, allowing for a more customization experience. Additionally, WordPress.org is free, making it an attractive option for many users. With almost half of the world’s active websites running on its platform, it is an extremely powerful and universal tool.
Verdict:
WordPress is an excellent choice for those looking to create a website without having to learn advanced coding or programming skills. It offers flexible design options, search engine optimization, and a large and active community of users and developers to help out with any issues you may have. It is the most versatile and widely used website platform in the world, and for good reason.
