When you sign up for Zoho Books, you get a 14-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to the product. You can choose to subscribe to a paid plan on a monthly or yearly basis.

There are three plans: Standard, Professional, and Premium, with varying features and limits on invoices and users. You can purchase additional users, document autoscan, and snail mail as add-ons.

Customer Support

Zoho provides excellent customer support through various channels such as phone and email support, live chat, and a range of helpful resources on their website, including video tutorials.

Phone Support

Zoho Books offers support hotlines for the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, and Canada. When I phoned I got through to customer support right away (within less than 30 seconds) and the representative was friendly and offered to arrange a call-back from the appropriate department that matched my query.

Live Chat

On Zoho Books’ website, you can access the live chat feature. The live chat connects the user to a support agent in real time. The live agent support was fast and accurate.

Email

Zoho Books offers direct email assistance via the email: support.usa@zohobooks.com. When I sent an email, I did not receive a notification that it had been delivered.

Verdict:

Zoho Books is a comprehensive accounting program that caters to the needs of small businesses and goes beyond expectations. Zoho has different plans with fixed user limits, which can be increased with an add-on for an additional fee. The top-tier plan, Enterprise, allows only up to 10 users. Other solutions offer unlimited users. Zoho also provides business report options and three add-ons for added functionality. Additional users can be added to a plan for $2.50/month.

The Premium version offers excellent usability, flexibility, and depth in areas such as sales and purchases, time and project tracking, and inventory management. It also provides an abundance of helpful resources, a crucial aspect in accounting.  And, with its robust integration capability, and functionality, it would be a sound choice for small to medium sized businesses.
