Customer Support
1-800 Bookkeeping only offers customer support through email and phone support. Upon utilizing both options neither was satisfactory. Contacting phone support is by far the best option for customers to get information on the services before becoming a user. Email support did not respond back in a timely manner.
Phone Support
I called customer support and they had a representative answer the phone within 2-3 minutes of being on hold. I was able to speak to a live person about the service and what they offer. The representative I spoke to was helpful but had some trouble answering my questions. She went over the price of services with me and did not try to sell me the product if I wasn’t interested. She explained the services they offer and how it works once you’re paying for them.
Basically they are not a cloud based software with a client portal for users to log into and keep track of their business expenses, payments, invoices, reports, etc. 1-800 Bookkeeping is a service where their team connects to your business bank account and manages your income and expenses and generates bookkeeping reports for you.

I emailed 1-800 Bookkeeping support and after about 2 business days I received a response. The representative that emailed me back told me that the company is looking to have a one month free trial option for customers to receive 1-800 Bookkeeping’s services for one month before paying for it. The representative was kind enough to answer all of my questions straight forward and was very helpful. Email screenshots attached below.

The service 1-800 Bookkeeping provides is by connecting to your bank account and they track transactions for expenses and payments so they can handle all of your bookkeeping for you so you don’t have to do anything. The service seems easy to set up with a representative over the phone. The set up process should be 30 minutes or less.
1-800 Bookkeeping is a good service for accounting with bookkeeping included. I wasn’t able to do much testing or utilizing the service. I have reason to believe they will do accounting and bookkeeping in an acceptable manner for paying users, however, I don’t think they offer close to enough services or software features and functions to charge users the monthly price of $239/mo.
Though I wasn’t able to fully test the service due to no free trial and the membership at such a high price point, I did extensive research on the platform and what 1-800 Bookkeeping offers. Though from what information I could gather, it seems to be an easy process and works as it should for what the company claims to offer.
