Odoo Comparisons

Plans & Pricing

Odoo is unique because the applications are modular. You can pay for exactly what you need and none of what you want. When you pay for an application, like the CRM, you get access to all the features without having to worry about additional pricing tiers. Some modules will require other modules before they can be used.

Sales + CRM
Free trial

This module is $10/m and reduces to $8/m when paid annually. If it’s the only module needed then it’s free for the user. You get a sales pipeline that’s created using the Kanban board style, real-time forecasting, reporting tools, robust contact storage and management, some automation features, and dashboards that can be customized.

Sales + Invoicing

Before getting the sales module, the invoicing module is required. Each one costs $5/m or $10/m together which is reduced to $8/m when you register for an annual plan. Like the CRM, if they’re the only modules you need then it’s free. The sales module allows you to send quotes to clients who can then review, approve, comment, or reject. If it’s approved, it can be transformed into a sales order with the click of a button.

Ease of Use

Odoo is an expansive platform and it’s easy to get lost or confused by what’s on offer. If you’ve never used a CRM, it’ll take some time to learn the nuances of Odoo. In many cases, dedicated training is required.
If you’re experienced with CRM software, the learning curve can be cut down considerably. A few days of regular use should be enough to learn the major features and start experiencing the benefits of the platform.

Features & Functionality
General Features

As an entire platform for business software, it goes well beyond just CRM. It also includes things like email marketing and customer support. Within the CRM, you have the features that are expected such as a pipeline that can be easily updated and forecasted. If you’re keen on having more control of your data, there are multiple deployment options like cloud and on premise which you can take advantage of.

Custom dashboards

Not every business values the same data. Some need insights into how the individual reps are performing while others are more focused on the big picture. With Odoo, you’re able to create custom dashboards to unearth the information that matters most to you.

Quote to sales order

Accurate quotes are an important part of the sales process and Odoo allows you to create them without having to log in to another application. When you send them to your clients, they can review them, and, if approved, you can turn those directly into sales orders and collect payment. This will cut down the time it takes to go from estimates and quotes to paying customers and clients.

Task automation

These days, automation is everywhere and Odoo isn’t being left behind. You won’t have to manually update every aspect of your CRM because the platform gives you the tools to set up rules that will automatically update when specific conditions are met. This will give you more time to focus on what matters in your business.

Contacts & Users

Like other CRMs, contact management is an essential part of Odoo and it makes the process simple for its users. There’s a simple contact list that can be accessed and the main interface shows high-level information such as contact information, name of business, and location. It also has a search function that’ll unearth contacts you need to find quickly.

Each contact on the main list can be clicked and a screen will open up with more details about the contact. In addition to that, you can associate everyone at an organization together and easily access their information from the same place.

Reporting & Integrations

Reporting is one of the strengths of Odoo CRM. It gives you the tools to divvy up your data in a way that works best for you. There are built-in reports such as pipeline value based on deal state, forecasts, and performance on a monthly basis. At the same time, you can create custom reports to only show the data you need.

Odoo handles integrations in a different way. As mentioned before, the application is modular so integrations happen between one aspect of the application and another. It has an internal VOIP and even email marketing integration amongst others. Its third-party integrations are limited to a few popular apps like Shopify and Woocommerce. There is an API that can be used to further extend its functionality.

Odoo is a fully-functional suite of tools to manage a business from end to end. That includes website management, sales, marketing, accounting, and everything in between. It’s been around for nearly 20 years and is a recognized industry leader. Its CRM, one of the most prominent modules, gives you the tools to create accurate forecasts, stay on top of your pipeline, manage contacts, and get clear reports on activity.
The platform does take some getting used to. The system is modular and there are times when features you expect in a CRM are found in another module like the sales + invoicing module. If you need an end-to-end business management platform, it can get expensive. If you only need a CRM and related features then Odoo is a great choice.

Great CRM

Odoo's user-friendly interface allows me to easily follow sales flows, and it's integrated with my marketing automation, as well as with my other Odoo modules. This is the main reason I use Odoo because it integrates with its CRM.

Affordable CRM option

Odoo covers many of the basic requirements with many modules. Being open-source software, it is quite affordable. It has a variety of features and functions.

For each module to work, customization is required, and that costs money. There are also many functionalities or features that do not work correctly. A lot of things depend on each other.
