Plooto Bookkeeping's Offerings
Plooto offers flexible plans to streamline payment and approval processes for businesses of all sizes. The Grow Plan ($32/month) is perfect for scaling operations, providing unlimited domestic transactions, accounting software integration, custom workflows, and competitive international payment rates. The Pro Plan ($99/month) builds on this with advanced payment controls, single sign-on (SSO), priority support, and optional Oracle NetSuite integration, ideal for more complex needs.
Customer Support
Plooto’s Experience Team — their customer service team — “primarily” operates Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm. They don’t say “only,” which means they may be accessible outside business hours.
That said, they do say that you’ll have the fastest response times during business hours.

Features & Functionality
General Features
Accounts Receivable
Accounts receivable is how you get paid. The more streamlined it is, the faster you get paid, and the higher your cash flows climb.
Plooto lets you add an unlimited number of vendors and customers to your system, making it easier to collect payments and monitor invoice statuses in one place. You can set up automated invoice notifications and instructions to help customers pay invoices on time. Plooto lets them pay via credit card, direct debit, and other options.
Plooto’s can also pull invoices from specific accounting software solutions (Quickbooks and Xero) for your monitoring convenience. It’ll also sync with these programs, keeping your books up to date.
Other features include payment status monitoring, pre-authorized debit agreement setup, and automatic account reconciliation.
Accounts Payable
Plooto does well on the accounts payable side as well, helping you reduce human error and chances of fraud while improving relationships with your vendors.
Like with receivables, Plooto lets you add an unlimited number of approvers for payment approval. You can also define criteria and customize approval tiers around those. For example, an entry-level employee wouldn’t be able to approve the same things that a senior finance employee might.
Again, Plooto keeps your Quickbooks or Xero books updated with its two-way integration. Most of your tedious accounting work is handled.
Dashboards
Tracking all those payments coming from a number of clients isn’t easy. Fortunately, Plooto offers a single intuitive dashboard where you can see all your clients and payment statuses in one area. No need to dig around for the information or generate multiple reports.
Payments
Being an accounts payable automation solution, Plooto offers numerous ways to pay clients. You can send money domestically and internationally. You can use checks or pre-authorized debits, depending on preference. It even provides specialized help with remitting funds to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA).

Tax Preparation
Simplify and optimize tax filing with expert features and tools.

Time-Saving Automations
Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.

Add-Ons
Plooto integrates with two of the bookkeeping software market’s biggest players: Quickbooks and Xero.
This two-way integration lets you pull in invoices from either program and monitor their statuses using Plooto’s advanced accounts receivable functionality. Simultaneously, Quickbooks and Xero pull payment information (for your invoices and on payments you make to others) to record in your books automatically.
Of course, Plooto integrates with many US and Canadian banks and other institutions.

Supported Devices
Access and use on a variety of compatible devices.

Pricing Model
Flexible pricing structures tailored to different needs and budgets.

Ease Of Use:
Plooto’s platform is quite easy to navigate. With only a few simple menus to familiarize yourself with, it takes just minutes to get up and running.
Even then, Plooto walks you through getting set up. After registering, it asks for basic information about you and your business. You then have to upload a photo ID, link your account(s), and connect Quickbooks or Xero (depending on the one you use).
Then, Plooto is yours to use.
Verdict:
Plooto offers effective AP/AR automation, intuitive UI, deep two-way integrations with Quickbooks and Xero (as well as more integrations with tons of financial institutions), and accessible support — all at a clear and affordable price.
That said, Plooto is not bookkeeping software on its own. If you only need AP/AR software, Plooto is an excellent choice aside from the high international transaction fees. However, it is best used in conjunction with Quickbooks or Xero to unlock its full bookkeeping power.
User Review

- Plooto keeps a full audit trail and syncs all my records.
- Sometimes loading time lags and I'd like to see more international payment options.
- The interface is clean, user-friendly, and easy to learn.
- Lacking some reporting functionality
- Wish there were more notifications
- Attractive and smooth software.
- Only one thing to mention is that I wish the accounts receivable had more options
