FTSRetail (Formerly XoomRetail) POS's Offerings
FTSRetail features three different plans to suit different business budgets and needs: FTSRetail Standard, FTSRetail Premium , and FTSRetail Enterprise. Each of these plans has its unique monthly fees and separate fees for each terminal registered under the account.
FTSRetail Standard – $65/month
The FTSRetail Standard plan is designed for small-scale online stores.
It includes home delivery, curbside pickup, and product shipping, along with real-time inventory tracking and automatic reordering when stock levels drop. Users can categorize products, manage vendor information, and apply discounts by product category. The plan also features an intuitive business application for streamlined operations. However, branding and customer communication via email or text incur an additional $0.03 per text.
FTSRetail Premium – $85/month + $59 per terminal
For businesses requiring physical store support, the FTSRetail Premium plan costs $85 per month plus $59 per terminal.
It includes all Standard features, plus the ability to sell WIC and SNAP catalog products, assign vendor tasks, and manage customer profiles, order history, and loyalty programs. Users can create pricing zones, automate pricing, and oversee employee roles and access levels. Reports covering products, sales, transactions, and store performance can be exported to Excel. Hardware integration extends beyond tablets to include barcode scanners, receipt printers, and scales, making it a versatile point of sale system.
FTSRetail Enterprise – Custom Pricing
The FTSRetail Enterprise plan is tailored for multi-location management and large-scale operations, with pricing customized to each business.
This plan extends Premium features by enabling vendor delegation for store-specific procurement, automated marketing campaigns, and automatic product recommendations. Employee management tools allow for time tracking and access control, while comprehensive financial reporting provides deep business insights. Additionally, a client-facing app enhances customer engagement, enabling order placement and loyalty program participation. To access Enterprise features, businesses must contact FTSRetail’s support team for a custom quote.
Customer Support
Phone Support for Immediate Assistance
When I tested FTSRetail’s phone support, I found it to be responsive and helpful, especially for urgent system-related issues. The 24/7 support line ensures that businesses can get immediate assistance, which is crucial for minimizing downtime. Whether troubleshooting integrated payment solutions or resolving a point-of-sale system malfunction, phone support provided quick resolutions.
Email Support for Non-Urgent Issues
For non-urgent matters, I tried out FTSRetail’s email support and found the response time reasonable. It’s a good option for issues that don’t require immediate attention, such as inventory tracking questions or customer relationship management (CRM) setup assistance. However, response times vary, and businesses needing faster resolutions might prefer phone support.
Support Ticket System
I also explored the support ticket system, which allows users to submit detailed issue reports through the cloud-based POS system. This feature is useful for tracking ongoing issues, especially for businesses that are managing multi-locations. I appreciated the structured approach, which ensured that each issue was documented and properly followed up.
Extended Support Hours for Convenience
Unlike some POS software providers that limit support to business hours, FTSRetail extends support past 5 PM on weekdays and offers weekend assistance. This was a major plus when I tested it, as many businesses operate beyond traditional hours and need reliable support at any time.
Community and Social Media Engagement
FTSRetail maintains an active online presence, which I found useful for staying updated on point of sale software enhancements. Their LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts provide updates and tips for businesses selling online and optimizing their retail management operations. While not a replacement for direct support, these platforms offer a helpful community-driven approach.
Informative Blog and Knowledge Base
I checked out FTSRetail’s blog, which provides insights into POS system features, e-commerce integration, and sales analytics. Though not as extensive as some competitors, the blog offers valuable guides for businesses looking to maximize their mobile POS capabilities. More frequent updates could further enhance this resource.
Final Thoughts on Customer Support
FTSRetail provides comprehensive support options, ensuring businesses have multiple ways to resolve issues. The phone and ticketing system were the most effective in my experience, while social media and blog resources added extra value. Though response times on email support could improve, the overall support infrastructure ensures that businesses using FTSRetail’s POS software receive reliable assistance when needed.

The cloud-based POS system automatically tracks stock levels, and triggers reorder when inventory runs low, minimizing out-of-stock situations.
I also tried out its auto-pricing feature, which automatically adjusts pricing based on purchase costs and pre-set markup rules. The ability to assign multiple product codes per item allows for better categorization, making it easier to manage complex product lists. This POS system is a game-changer for retail management, helping businesses streamline operations and manage multi-locations efficiently.
SNAP and WIC Catalog
FTSRetail stands out with its WIC and SNAP catalog integration, making it a strong choice for retailers that accept government-assisted payments. When I tested this feature, I found that customers using WIC benefits could check their balance before completing a transaction, ensuring a smoother checkout process. The POS software also integrates directly with state WIC databases, automatically processing eligible transactions without errors.
Additionally, in cases of internet connectivity issues, I was able to submit automated claims, APL, and HCL files for a quick refund. This is a valuable function for grocery stores and supermarkets that rely on integrated payment solutions to serve a wider customer base.
Self-Ordering Kiosks
When I tried the self-ordering kiosks, I found them intuitive and user-friendly. Customers can browse menus, select products, and complete payments without cashier assistance, reducing checkout lines. This feature is ideal for e-commerce integration and in-store automation, creating a seamless shopping experience.
Vendor Management
FTSRetail makes vendor management seamless. I tested its ability to onboard vendors and found it easy to store relevant details, whether for small suppliers or large-scale distributors. Businesses can assign vendors to specific departments, stores, or locations, ensuring a more structured procurement process. This feature enhances multi-location management, allowing for better control over supplier relationships, stock flow, and inventory tracking.
Comprehensive Reports and Analytics
When I explored FTSRetail’s sales analytics, I found the reporting tools to be comprehensive and easy to use. The system generates reports on sales performance, employee productivity, transactions, and financials, helping businesses track progress and make data-driven decisions. Reports can also be exported to Excel for deeper analysis. I liked the ability to schedule automated reports, which keeps business owners updated without manual intervention.
Employee Management
FTSRetail provides scalable employee management tools that support an unlimited number of employees across multiple locations. I tested the system’s role-based access controls, which allow businesses to assign employee permissions through dedicated swipe cards or unique codes. This ensures that staff can only access the functions relevant to their role, improving security and efficiency.
Additionally, the system includes employee work time tracking, making it easier to monitor work hours and process payroll accurately. This is a crucial feature for businesses that want to streamline staff scheduling and enhance workforce productivity.
Multiple Store Locations
One of the biggest advantages I found when testing FTSRetail’s cloud-based POS system is its ability to seamlessly manage multiple store locations. Unlike some POS software that requires separate setups for each store, FTSRetail enables centralized control, allowing business owners to monitor operations from a single dashboard.
I also liked the pricing zones feature, which lets businesses set product prices based on location-specific factors. This is particularly useful for businesses with stores in different markets, ensuring that pricing aligns with local demand and costs. The ability to group and manage multiple stores under a single POS system is a huge plus for expanding retailers.
Self-Checkout Systems
FTSRetail’s self-checkout functionality allows businesses to improve efficiency by reducing cashier dependency. I tested this feature and found that a single employee could oversee multiple self-checkout lanes, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours. The interface is easy to navigate, allowing customers to scan products, apply discounts, and complete transactions without assistance.
Digital Displays
The digital display integration enhances customer relationship management (CRM) by showcasing promotions, product information, and branding content. I found this feature particularly useful for engaging customers at checkout points, driving impulse purchases, and enhancing overall brand visibility.
WebStore Integration
For businesses selling online, the e-commerce integration feature provides seamless management of online and in-store sales. I found that inventory tracking remains synchronized across channels, preventing overselling and ensuring accurate stock availability. This is a game-changer for retailers looking to expand into online sales while maintaining a centralized Point of Sale software.
Loyalty Programs
FTSRetail’s loyalty program integration makes it easy to reward repeat customers. When I tested it, I was able to customize reward structures, track customer purchases, and automate promotions. The integration with the POS system ensures that loyalty points and discounts apply instantly, encouraging customer retention.
Advanced Inventory Management
The inventory tracking system within FTSRetail is feature-rich, offering real-time monitoring of stock levels. I tested the automated reordering function, and it successfully placed purchase orders when inventory dropped below a specified threshold. Businesses can categorize products and analyze stock movement for improved purchasing decisions.
Productivity Tools
FTSRetail includes various business productivity tools that streamline operations. When I explored this feature, I found built-in task management, staff communication tools, and custom reporting dashboards that help businesses improve workflow efficiency.
Comprehensive Payment Support
The integrated payment solutions allow retailers to accept multiple payment types, including credit, debit, EMV, NFC, WIC, SNAP, and mobile payments. I found the processing system fast and secure, ensuring smooth transactions with minimal downtime.
Mobile POS Version
When I tested the Mobile POS, I appreciated its flexibility. It functions as a line-busting solution, a curbside checkout tool, and an additional transaction lane during peak hours. The portable setup allows retailers to serve customers anywhere, improving checkout efficiency.
Cash Management & Fraud Controls
FTSRetail includes cash management tools designed to reduce fraud and discrepancies. I found that cash drawer tracking, access restrictions, and automated reconciliation minimize financial risks. These security measures ensure businesses maintain accurate records and prevent loss due to theft or mismanagement.

Hardware & Software
When it comes to hardware, FTS Solutions is very flexible. The tablet can serve as a “bare-bones” system, or it can be connected to a PC. In addition to the hardware recommended by the company, you may also use your own kit. The same is true for supplementary hardware such as scales, scanners, and printers. All mainstream brands are supported, so there isn’t a limited selection of suggested items. FTSRetail also has a mobile app, which is available for iOS and Android.

Pricing Options
Flexible pricing plans to meet different business needs.

Performance:
Fast and Efficient Checkout
When evaluating FTSRetail’s POS software, I found that it handles high transaction volumes smoothly, ensuring quick and accurate checkouts. This efficiency is crucial for grocery and convenience stores, where speed directly impacts customer satisfaction. The intuitive interface further enhances the checkout process, minimizing errors and reducing wait times.
Real-Time Inventory Management
I tested FTSRetail’s inventory tracking and found it highly responsive, updating stock levels in real-time. Automatic restocking alerts help prevent stockouts and overstocking, ensuring that businesses maintain optimal product availability. This feature is particularly valuable for multi-location management, keeping inventory synchronized across different stores.
Seamless Payment Processing
FTSRetail supports various integrated payment solutions, including credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, and WIC transactions. When I processed payments, the system efficiently handled multiple tenders, ensuring smooth transactions. The cloud-based POS system also ensures secure payment processing while maintaining compliance with government benefit programs.
E-commerce Integration for Omnichannel Sales
For businesses selling online, I found FTSRetail’s eCommerce integration to be seamless. The system unifies in-store and online transactions, ensuring real-time inventory synchronization and consistent pricing. This feature supports businesses looking to expand their digital presence while maintaining efficient retail management.
Ease Of Use:
Easy Setup and Hardware Flexibility
FTSRetail is comparatively easy to use and doesn’t require large software downloads or complex installations. When I tested the setup process, I found it streamlined and straightforward, allowing businesses to get started quickly. Unlike some POS software that demands proprietary hardware, FTSRetail is hardware-flexible, meaning it can run on basic tablets, PCs, or full-scale POS systems. This adaptability makes it accessible to a variety of businesses, from small retailers to large multi-location enterprises.
Intuitive Interface for Daily Operations
Navigating through FTSRetail’s Point of Sale system was effortless. The layout is clear and well-organized, enabling staff to process transactions, manage inventory tracking, and handle customer relationship management (CRM) without unnecessary complications. Even first-time users can grasp the workflow quickly, reducing training time. The cloud-based POS system further enhances usability, ensuring seamless access across different locations without the need for advanced IT knowledge.
Uniqueness:
FTSRetail stands out with its WIC-enabled POS system, catering specifically to retailers that accept Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits. When I tested this feature, it seamlessly processed WIC-approved items, automatically applying eligibility restrictions to prevent non-WIC purchases. This integration ensures compliance with government programs while simplifying checkout for both retailers and customers. For stores serving WIC participants, this capability is a significant advantage in expanding accessibility and sales.
Verdict:
FTSRetail is an efficient solution for grocery store and online business owners who would love to run their businesses smoothly. However, most of the automated features of this software can only be accessed on the Enterprise plan –which can be pretty costly for most stores of small and medium scales. Also, the vast disparity between the FTSRetail Premium and the FTSRetail Enterprise can be pretty discouraging. Businesses whose budget cannot afford the Enterprise plan have nothing in between to fall back to. Nevertheless, FTSRetail possesses outstanding features for store management and would be idle for your store if you could fund its fees. It also supports online businesses, a feature in line with contemporary trends.
