Performance:

Performance

Overall performance was excellent, and I did not experience any issues within the Editor or when switching between app functions. Their coding and design interface was responsive within the editor and the content library was quick to access. There was zero lag during any of Dreamweaver’s functions. For a live demo, check out the Coding & Templates videos below.

Collaboration

Dreamweaver does not allow for real-time collaboration within a project. In order to accomplish this, it uses 3rd party integrations such as Github to assist developers and designers edit projects together.

Ease Of Use:

Initial Sign-Up

Initial sign-up was simple and required the creation of an Adobe Creative Cloud account and then downloading the Dreamweaver app to my Mac. The entire process took just a couple of minutes. Click the video to see the entire sign-up process:

Templates & Themes

The Dreamweaver Library includes a range of templates and coding start points to help with your new design. In this video, we take a quick tour of its pre-built designs:

Visual Editor

This feature is available in the visual editor, which is called the “Design” view in Dreamweaver. For a demonstration, click the Coding video below.

Code Editing

For users who are familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Dreamweaver also includes a code editor that allows users to edit the underlying code for their web designs with a live preview window above. Check out this video for a demo:

Uniqueness:

Dreamweaver provides users with an intuitive visual interface for creating websites, while also allowing them to code HTML and CSS manually. Dreamweaver also allows users to preview their work in multiple browsers and devices and includes an array of debugging and optimization tools. Additionally, Dreamweaver integrates seamlessly with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, allowing users to quickly and easily create and edit webpages.

Verdict:

Adobe Dreamweaver is a robust web development tool that is well-suited for designing and building professional-quality websites. It can handle a wide range of web development tasks and offers a range of features and resources to help you create high-quality websites. It does, however, require some initial getting used to. I found having access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite a huge advantage for all things design and creativity.
