Customer Support

There are multiple ways to get support from the company so it’s up to you to choose the method that you’re most comfortable with. There seem to be mixed experiences with the live chat support reps. Some of them are knowledgeable while others don’t seem to have a deep understanding of the platform. It may be a good idea to take advantage of the knowledge base before reaching out to the support team.

Additional support includes:

Blog

The blog focuses on company news, customer spotlights, and tips for small businesses.

Features & Functionality

Design

The platform has been around for a while and has developed the major core features you’d need in a website builder. The pages are optimized for mobile right out the gate, the website builder uses a drag-and-drop page builder, simple forms for contact information and email collection, and even a photo library with stock images. Many additional features also help you run a business and not just run a website.

Design & templates

The template collection available is limited to only seven options for you to test out. Each one has a specific focus such as gardening, pest control, HVAC, etc. so you can choose the one that makes the most sense for your business. If your business isn’t represented within the limited selection, just choose one that’s relevant to an extent and then edit it to meet your needs.

Even though there aren’t many options, what’s available is high-quality and can serve as a good starting point for most websites. Keep in mind that a template cannot be changed after the fact and you can only start a new website. The good news is that it’s fully customizable so you can build something from the ground up if the need arises.

Payments

One of the powerful features of GoSite is the versatile way you can request payments from your customers. It can be done in person, via SMS, or using email. There are integrations with Apple and Google pay so customers can use their digital wallets. One of the best parts is that GoSite releases payments within 24 to 48 hours and charges a fee of 2.9% + $0.30.

Booking and scheduling

Booking is often a challenge because of availability and coordination with clients. GoSite handles this issue by providing a booking widget that can be displayed on your site. It shows availability so clients can visit it and book a convenient time that works with your schedule. It handles all the other backend processes such as sending reminder emails, cancellations, or rescheduling.

Review management

Online reviews are an important part of any business. The company allows you to pull in reviews from multiple platforms such as Yelp and Google. You can then reply or otherwise manage them from your GoSite dashboard. You can also initiate a review collection campaign via SMS and email to ensure you have a steady flow of customer testimonials flowing in.

Listing management

Making sure the right information is displayed across listing sites at all times can be challenging. With the GoSite platform, you’re able to update your information in one place and it’s automatically pushed to the right websites. You don’t have to worry about outdated information floating around.

Automatic Website Building

Ease Of Use:

GoSite is a website builder that experienced users will have no problem mastering because the interface is similar to other site builders. You’ll just need to learn the unique nuances of the builder which shouldn’t take too long. It has a drag-and-drop editor that allows you to place elements inside of section blocks instead of anywhere you’d like on the page. While it’s more limiting, there’s a higher chance that you’ll come out with a well-designed website. This is especially true if you’re a beginner.

It should only take a few minutes to learn the major nuances of GoSite. A simple website can be created within a few hours no matter how much experience the webmaster may have.

Verdict:

Founded in 2013 with a clear mission – make it easier for small businesses to get online and thrive – GoSite has largely lived up to it. The organization provides a simple website builder that has the core features needed by the majority of service-based businesses and none of the advanced features that would cause undue confusion. It unifies many aspects of an online business such as review management, booking, payments, and more so you only have to log into one backend to manage your site and other aspects of your business.
It is severely lacking in templates. The ones that are available target service businesses and the pricing plan doesn’t clearly state what you get and what you don’t get. If those aren’t deal-breakers for you and you want to get online quickly then GoSite is a solid platform that’s worth taking a closer look at.

The Website builder is good
I have had experience with other website builders, so this one is slightly different but unique in that is also has other offerings with the builder itself which helped with the final product. I liked this software and will continue to use it
Dislike:
  • The one thing I think needs improvement, is the amount of templates and the customization capabilities

GoSite definitely fits the bill
I have really enjoyed using GoSite. I feel like my website is being improved by a team. There has been a salesperson, a payments expert, and an implementation specialist involved in the process. The GoSite product offerings cover it all.
