OnSIP VoIP's Offerings

OnSIP has a very unique and unusual pricing scheme, with two plans: Basic and Unlimited. They priced monthly per user and offer various features, but seem to be priced in order to motivate you to choose the Unlimited plan.

OnSIP allows you to use their softphone option, mobile app option, or desk phone option. For new accounts, the Unlimited plan includes free Polycom desk phones and headsets, just to be sure that you won’t even consider the Basic plan!

Customer Support

OnSIP has a dedicated blog on their website that includes many different resources such as VoIP solution descriptions, testimonials, case studies, small business tips, as well as a resource library.

Features & Functionality

General Features

OnSIP offers a number of beneficial features, such as (but not limited to):

Advanced voicemail features

OnSIP makes voicemail faster, more efficient and more accessible. You can get your voicemail sent directly to your email. From there, you can listen to the .wav file attachment, call the OnSIP voicemail system with your extension and pin, or listen to your voicemail using the OnSIP application.

Intuitive auto-attendant

With OnSIP, setting up an auto-attendant is very straightforward. You can maximize its true potential by playing a pre-recorded message to all your callers prompting them to select different numbers to get connected to particular people or departments.

Groups

With OnSIP, you can divide and conquer. If your business is divided into different teams, you can use groups to manage a sea of callers efficiently. For example, you can set up a ring strategy for your sales team so that your leads are always easily identified from other callers.

Desktop Apps

OnSIP also offers free-to-download desktop applications. You can download said applications for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.

Ease Of Use:

OnSIP is very simple to deploy and to manage. The OnSIP app for desktop computers as well as smartphones is intuitive and easy to use. All of the interfaces provided, including management and application interfaces, don’t need a telecom guru to decipher them. Most users report that they had no problem in any technical aspect of the service. Even the desk phones are preprogrammed, so you simply have to plug them in.

Verdict:

Although initially the pricing issue was a little bit confusing, OnSIP does redeem itself in the fact that it has a very comprehensive support infrastructure, with online chat and live video chat available for most of the day. Its features are also quite comprehensive for the needs of any small to medium-sized business, with various options for end devices including both softphones, as well as desk phones.

OnSIP is fantastic
I highly recommend OnSIP. It offers excellent service at an affordable price. I use the service at my small manufacturing facility. Having managed the IT department of a large organization, I recall that traditional phone services cost us ten times as much.

The configuration is exceptional with this VoIP! The support team helped me with all my many questions, specifically during set up. Being able to route calls wherever I need is the best part of onsip.
