Wix eCommerce eCommerce's Offerings

Wix eCommerce pricing plans are referred to as Business and eCommerce plans and come with separate features as well as pricing than Wix.

Like other Wix plans, it comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Wix eCommerce plans are more expensive than a basic website builder but it does offer a wider range of features to increase sales.

Customer Support

Wix Help Center and Knowledge Base
I found Wix’s e-commerce platform Help Center to be comprehensive, covering everything from store setup to advanced customization. The knowledge base provides detailed guides and step-by-step instructions, making it easy to find answers without needing direct support.

Phone and Live Chat Support
For more complex issues, Wix offers 24/7 customer support via phone and live chat. I played with the callback system and found response times reasonable. Support reps were knowledgeable and able to resolve issues efficiently, ensuring smooth e-commerce website management.

Community Forums and Peer Support
Wix also provides community forums dedicated to specific features and integrations. Users can exchange tips and troubleshooting solutions, making it a valuable resource for businesses learning to sell online.

Blog and Educational Resources
The Wix blog shares general marketing insights, e-commerce trends, and platform updates. I found this resource useful for businesses looking to optimize their online store with SEO features and promotional strategies.

Design

Wix eCommerce comes with over 100 professional-looking templates to design your online shop. During the creation process, you can choose any of them, change the colors, rearrange the layout, and add over a dozen product images for customers to interact with. It has a bit of a learning curve because of all the options that need to be set up such as payment processors, inventory tracking, sales tax, etc. That doesn’t mean it’s difficult, it’ll just take more time and energy than a standard website.

Performance:

Speed and Reliability
I found that the Wix e-commerce platform’s cloud-based infrastructure ensures reliable uptime. For small to medium businesses, page load speeds are generally smooth, but for larger online stores, performance can slow down, especially with high-resolution images or extensive product catalogs.

Optimization Tools for Better Performance
I played with Wix’s performance enhancement tools, including image optimization, caching, and mobile-responsive design. These features help improve e-commerce website speed, but businesses selling online should monitor performance to ensure fast-loading pages.

Scalability Considerations
Wix works well for affordable e-commerce solutions, but for businesses planning to scale rapidly, I found that inventory management and advanced customization options are more limited compared to other top e-commerce platforms. If high traffic and complex store operations are expected, businesses should evaluate whether Wix meets long-term needs.

Ease Of Use:

When I tested Wix’s e-commerce platform, I found that its extensive feature set requires a time investment to master. Setting up payment processors, shipping integrations, and product variants necessitates careful configuration.

However, the intuitive drag-and-drop interface simplifies the process, making it manageable even for those new to online store builders. I played with adding products and customizing the storefront, and the e-commerce website builder provided clear guidance throughout.

While the learning curve is present due to the platform’s comprehensive capabilities, Wix remains an affordable e-commerce solution with mobile-responsive design and SEO features, suitable for businesses aiming to sell online effectively.

Uniqueness:

Wix stands out as an e-commerce website builder with drag-and-drop customization, built-in SEO tools, and seamless social media integration. Unlike many top e-commerce platforms, it combines simplicity with flexibility, making it one of the best e-commerce platforms for small businesses.

Verdict:

Wix eCommerce is a complete solution to manage your eCommerce shop. It has a wide range of features such as marketing tools, email marketing and abandoned cart workflows, the ability to collect recurring payments, support for multiple sales channels, and much more. It’s compliant with major regulations in different markets such as GDPR and CCPA. It also provides secure websites to protect customer data.

There are multiple pricing plans to meet your needs but keep in mind that it’s not easy to change a template once selected. Unless you have custom needs or enterprise-level functionality, Wix eCommerce is a great solution to launch and grow your online brand.

Nothing better than Wix
What I like best about Wix is how easy it is to design a custom website with only a few clicks. In comparison to other websites, Wix stands out for its ability to link images to files, making information accessible at the click of a button which is more difficult on other websites.

eCommerce is perfect
The interface is simple and easy to use. The eCommerce integration is easy and effective. The analytics shown of the website, according to how many people visit the page and the time they spend, is valuable and informative.

Wix eCommerce is the only way to go
I chose Wix because I found it to be easy-to-use and because WordPress was a lot of work, and I haven't looked back.

The tool of tomorrow
There are many tools that allow people to build standard stores but not exceptional ones like Wix. With Wix, you can take your website from OK to amazing within a few days or even hours in some cases.

Reasonable price, great features
Wix gets my recommendation because it is easy to use, has tons of features for both eCommerce and building and website, and is fairly priced for what it offers.
Like:
  • - Clean and user-friendly interface
  • - Tons of templates to choose from
  • - Easy to connect a custom domain
  • - Lots of options with the eCommerce platform like product variations
  • - Can edit mobile and desktop sites independently
Dislike:
  • - The options for reservations can be improved
  • - You’re unable to edit most of the auto email sent out after a purchase

I can only use the apps in the marketplace
As part of my day job, I assess different software solutions for our organization and clients. Wix has stood out time and again because it’s versatile but not overwhelming for new users.

Start with Wix
I was looking for a website builder for my store many years ago and it was between WordPress and Wix. Wix won because WordPress seemed like a lot of work and I’ve not regretted my choice since then.
Like:
  • - Easy to add products and variations
  • - There are built-in options for memberships and alternative payment methods
  • - I can see all orders in the backend and manage them from there
Dislike:
  • I can only use the apps in the marketplace

It started as a test run..and the rest is history!
I underestimated Wix at first because I had no experience building websites, let alone online stores. Fast forward a year and 20+ sites later and I can say I’m in love with it.

Great for new brands
I used it to set up my new website and was able to create something I was happy with and didn’t even have to contact a developer.

Easy but lacking
I’ll admit that Wix is one of the easier website builders to use but it is lacking many features I needed to make the most of my shop.
Like:
  • The layout options are pleasing to the eye
Dislike:
  • If you want to do anything advanced then you need to be familiar with how to code
