Wordtune offers a range of pricing plans to suit different needs and budgets. For those seeking different solutions or finding the cost of Wordtune too high, various Wordtune alternatives are available in the AI writing assistant space.
Customer Support
The Wordtune AI tool offers two ways to contact its customer support team: live chat and email. However, it prioritizes self-help through resources like a knowledge base and a bot assistant.
After signing up, I was able to access the live chat functionality from inside the Help Center. You can find the chat box at the bottom right-hand side of the screen and initiate a chat by clicking on it.
There are two layers to the chat functionality. First, you interact with the bot (called Lexi), which is capable of answering generic queries. For example, when I asked if Wordtune can work with languages other than English, it replied:
If you’re not satisfied with Lexi’s response, you can request a human agent, and Lexi will connect you to one. The team typically responds within a day.
If you’re an “Unlimited” user, you can expect a faster response through priority support. Alternatively, you can contact the support team via email by sending your concern from your registered email ID and typically receive a reply within one business day. For instance, when I inquired about my billing via email, I received a response within 12 hours.
Other than that, Wordtune has a well-curated knowledge base that will solve most of your basic problems.

Micro copy is crucial for enhancing user experience by providing clear, engaging, and contextually appropriate instructions or information in small spaces.
Wordtune excels in crafting microcopy by:

AI Writer
Ever since ChatGPT emerged, the competition among AI text generators has intensified, with Wordtune being one of the contenders vying for recognition as an AI writing assistant. However, Wordtune’s text generation works differently than ChatGPT.
It’s important to note that Wordtune is not a traditional text generator; it primarily functions as a writing correction and enhancement tool, similar to Grammarly, rather than ChatGPT. However, due to advancements in generative AI, Wordtune can now generate words and sentences.
With Wordtune, you need to write a few sentences first before it can “suggest” what to write next. You can’t prompt it to generate a complete draft from scratch. Instead, you provide initial context by writing a paragraph or two, and then Wordtune helps generate the subsequent sentences. This approach ensures that the tool has context to generate meaningful content.
As you proceed to the next section, you can ask Wordtune for suggestions on what to write in the text box. It provides contextual suggestions based on the information you’ve provided previously. By clicking on these suggestions, Wordtune generates text for you using AI.
One noteworthy feature of Wordtune is its ability to conduct fact-checking when including any facts and figures.
This feature gives you more confidence when writing with Wordtune. However, it’s important to note that it’s not a replacement for human fact-checking.
AI Rewriter
Some may consider Wordtune’s text generator as inferior, but its AI rewriter is where the tool truly shines. As one of the leading AI writing assistants, Wordtune offers features that enhance and polish your work to make it ready for professional use.
Wordtune’s AI rewriter is a powerful tool designed to improve the clarity, flow, and style of your writing. Once your initial draft is complete, simply highlight the text and hit “Rewrite.”
Wordtune excels in rewriting sentences in 10-15 different ways, altering from active to passive voice, adjusting tone from friendly to aggressive, and reordering words, among other variations. This feature helps in content writing and enables you to choose the sentence that best conveys clarity.
Regarding clarity, Wordtune highlights all improvement opportunities and provides real-time recommendations:
This feature ensures that no silly errors seep through, maintaining a professional appearance for your work.
At the top, you have direct, one-click access to correct your writing in numerous ways:
With a single click, you can effortlessly make your sentences casual or formal. If you need to stay within a specific word count, Wordtune can shorten your text without requiring manual scanning for opportunities.
However, when proofreading, it’s essential to be cautious. Changing a word in one place may alter the context in a subsequent paragraph. While powerful, Wordtune may not always grasp these subtle changes—it relies on your judgment as the writer.
AI Summarizer
The next powerful feature that makes Wordtune a force to reckon with in the domain of AI writing tools is AI Summarizer. As demonstrated earlier, it efficiently summarized a 13-minute YouTube video by processing the transcript and highlighting key points based on its context.
However, AI-generated content often lacks personality or depth, highlighting the importance of editing and personal touch in content creation.
Beyond videos, Wordtune can also effortlessly summarize PDF documents or plain text. This versatility enhances its utility across various types of content.
For my case, I uploaded a PDF on the Basics of the Stock Market, which you can access here. It’s a 15-page PDF file covering basic information on stock trading. And in this case, the results were really underwhelming. From the 15-page file, the tool could only extract a paragraph:
This might be because extracting words from PDF files isn’t an easy task. It requires OCR technology to work alongside.
I repeated the experiment for another PDF file on Most Common Causes of Injuries. This time, the PDF was better structured and more readable. The results were:
While summarizing PDFs with AI is still a work in progress and may yield mixed results, the opposite holds true for YouTube and text-based summaries. As demonstrated earlier with the YouTube video summary, Wordtune’s AI showed superior results in capturing and summarizing content effectively.
So, this is an excellent feature with work to be done.
AI Translation
If you’re bilingual (or want to work with a foreign language), you’ll love the AI translation feature.
Working with it is simple. Just copy and paste the text you want to translate into the workspace and hit translate.
You can paste articles, poems, or even books. Wordtune, with its contextual capabilities, will produce translations with greater accuracy.
However, this capability is currently limited to translating to English only, not to other languages. It is available as an add-on feature for paid users who wish to upgrade their experience.
Chrome extension and email integration
You don’t need to open the Wordtune web app to utilize its features. The Wordtune Editor, an essential AI writing tool, provides recommendations, grammar checks, and rewriting suggestions to enhance your writing process. Whether browsing the internet or working elsewhere, you can have sentences rewritten or articles summarized.
Wordtune provides a convenient Chrome extension that can be installed directly onto your browser.
Once installed, Wordtune creates a small widget that stays with you in the Chrome browser as you navigate through pages and tabs.
This means that when you write that email to your boss, the Wordtune assistant (the purple object) sits beside you, ready to offer suggestions and improvements.
Wordtune’s Chrome extension integrates seamlessly across various platforms such as Google Docs, Google Search, YouTube, and other websites. This allows you to perform various functionalities directly from wherever you are. This flexibility significantly enhances the tool’s usability and convenience.

Performance:
Wordtune responds in milliseconds. Whether I’m rewriting a sentence or summarizing a YouTube video, it’s impressively fast. That speed matters when you’re juggling deadlines.
Wordtune is impressively fast in its responses, a testament to its commitment to productivity. However, what truly matters is the quality of its output. In my tests, the AI writing tool performed beyond my expectations.
For instance, when I asked Wordtune to rewrite a paragraph from this article, it responded within milliseconds, promptly suggesting 10-12 alternative sentences.
But the real challenge was when I tasked it with summarizing a 13-minute TEDx video. Wordtune’s summarizer tool provided the following response.
Therefore, I installed the Chrome extension and tried again. The tool did not disappoint me at all. It summarized the entire video in just a second or two, generating a remarkably accurate summary side-by-side.
Remember, Wordtune summarizes the entire text, not just providing a transcript. For the most part, its summary aligned well with the video’s content. However, there were times when it missed some critical information.
Overall, Wordtune did a decent job at summarizing. I must admit, it’s one of the fastest and most accurate AI tools out there. A detailed Wordtune review highlights its features, pricing, and user experiences, providing insights into its effectiveness as a writing assistant.
Ease Of Use:
I found the Wordtune Editor extremely straightforward. All the tools—rewriting, summarizing, translating—are in one place, so I don’t have to jump around. The real-time suggestions can sometimes feel distracting if you prefer a “write first, edit later” approach, but I got used to it. Overall, the interface is intuitive enough that there’s no steep learning curve.
Wordtune, powered by AI, is designed for busy professionals, so ease of use is not just an option but a necessity. The Wordtune website offers an intuitive online editor that makes navigating through the interface a breeze.
Upon logging in, Wordtune presents a clean workspace that resembles a canvas, inviting users to craft their ideas effortlessly:
The best part about the workspace is that all the features are conveniently located on the same page. Whether you need to rewrite a sentence, adjust the tone, generate a paragraph, or access past projects, everything is readily available in one place. There’s no need to search through multiple pages to find what you’re looking for, making navigation seamless without any learning curve.
As you begin writing, the tool works its magic, suggesting improvements on the fly.
This setup might initially seem distracting for writers who prefer to “write first, edit later.” Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any options to turn off the suggestions. However, with practice, you can learn to ignore them. The suggestions are only highlighted with colored underlines, which shouldn’t pose a significant issue.
Overall, Wordtune remains super easy to work with once you get accustomed to its interface and suggestions.
Uniqueness:
Wordtune prioritizes user data privacy and security, ensuring that all content is treated confidentially and is never stored without permission. The tool uses advanced encryption methods to protect user data and adheres to strict data protection policies. Additionally, Wordtune complies with major data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, to ensure that user data is handled responsibly. Users can also control their data usage and opt out of data collection anytime, providing complete transparency and control over their data. This data privacy and security commitment makes Wordtune a trustworthy AI-powered writing companion for all users.
Verdict:
So, is Wordtune worth it? Personally, I think yes—especially if you want an all-in-one solution for rewriting, summarizing, and polishing your writing. The Wordtune free plan is a great starting point, but if you write professionally and need more than 10 rewrites a day, you might consider upgrading. For me, the highlight was how quickly and accurately it tackles rewriting and summarizing tasks without drastically changing my voice.
With all that said, this Wordtune review reflects my personal experiences. If you’re still on the fence, you can try the Wordtune free version yourself or check out other Wordtune reviews for additional perspectives. After all, everyone’s writing needs are different. But from my standpoint, Wordtune’s AI-powered enhancements truly make it stand out—especially for those of us who write a lot and want to get our messages across clearly and efficiently.
