Zoho Books Bookkeeping's Offerings
Zoho offers a demo and a 14-day free trial to help you experience the software before you buy.
Should you find Zoho Books to be satisfactory, you can upgrade to one of three paid plans. For these, you’ll pay either a monthly fee or a yearly discounted price that knocks two months of subscription fees off. You can manage multiple organizations with each of these plans, but Zoho Books prices on a per organization basis.
Zoho offers plenty of add-ons for a bit extra that complement these plans well.
Customer Support
Zoho Books offers fantastic customer support through a variety of avenues, from live help to self-help resources. That said, they offer several support tiers.
Classic is free. It offers live chat, phone support, and email support eight hours a day, five days a week, although it doesn’t state the hours. Response time is officially eight hours, but that could be less.
Classic is the only support plan available to Zoho Books customers.
If you have Zoho CRM, CRM plus, Zoho Desk, or Zoho One, you can also get Premium or Enterprise support for 20% or 25% of your subscription fee, respectively. These expand support hours to 24 hours a day Monday-Friday and 24/7, respectively. It also adds extras like custom onboarding and configuration assistance.

Features & Functionality
General Features
Highly Customizable Transaction Forms
Zoho offers a significant degree of customization on numerous types of transaction forms such as invoices and packing slips. These forms can get quite detailed — you can adjust things such as shipping charges, sales taxes, and discounts.
You can genuinely make every form your own while providing all the necessary information to your clients/customers.
Automated Workflows
Manual, repetitive work is a substantial pain point among many small businesses. If only you could automate it.
Well, Zoho Books provides extensive workflow automation that lets you get specific with your tasks. It takes a while to get the hang of writing automation formulas, but you could save an untold number of hours once you do.
Reporting and Analytics
Zoho Books offers numerous reports. First off, it has your standard bookkeeping reports, such as your trial balance and financial statements.
Additionally, you can create reports for all sorts of other areas, such as receivables/payables, sales, purchases, and projects.
There’s plenty of filtering and sorting available, and you can schedule reports to be generated at a particular time automatically. You can also send reports via email with just a few button clicks.

Tax Preparation
Simplify and optimize tax filing with expert features and tools.

Time-Saving Automations
Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.

Add-Ons
Zoho Books lets you add new users a la carte for $2/user per month or $20/user per year. You can also buy credits for snail mail (if you need to send things from Zoho Books via snail mail) for $2 per credit. You can also pay $15 for 25 autoscans.
Beyond that, Zoho Books integrates with numerous other Zoho products, such as Zoho Sign mentioned earlier. Other products include Zoho Inventory (for inventory management), Zoho Payroll (for payroll), Zoho Projects (for project management), Zoho Subscriptions (for subscription businesses), and Zoho Expense (for expense approvals in Zoho).
However, there are many more Zoho products. If you’re a fan of those apps, getting Zoho Books lets you connect everything under one software program’s umbrella.
Finally, Zoho integrates with numerous third-party applications, such as payment gateways, PoS providers, productivity software, and tax software. It appears Zoho Books is a flexible choice if you need to streamline your operations.

Supported Devices
Access and use on a variety of compatible devices.

Pricing Model
Flexible pricing structures tailored to different needs and budgets.

Ease Of Use:
Zoho Books offers a clean, easy-to-navigate interface that won’t take you too long to get used to. Everything is organized well with menus, and there’s a little gear icon at the top right of the screen that lets you view everything from different currencies to automations to Zoho Books’ integrations.
You can easily access Zoho’s numerous support resources in the top right of your dashboard as well.
When you first get started, Zoho Books walks you through the setup process, helping you to configure some of your personal settings. It then suggests other things to do to get your Zoho Books accounts ready for action.
Verdict:
Zoho Books offers excellent value for everyone, from tiny businesses to larger enterprises. Its features are close to (but not at the level of) top industry competitors, but at some of the industry’s lowest prices.
Plus, it offers a wide range of integrations, from Zoho’s own products to third-party applications.
It would be nice if all support were free, but that may be the price one pays for excellent features at a low cost.
Overall, if you need an inexpensive but robust bookkeeping software program, Zoho Books may be worth your consideration.
User Review

- Records, transactions, and modules for orders or timesheets are all clear cut and user friendly.
- Doesn’t integrate with some payroll providers
- Automated workflow and customer/vendor portals. Mobile apps allow you to pretty much use all the features as if on a desktop.
- Slight learning required before fully being setup
- Features have surpassed my expectations in every way. The reporting options, forms, invoices, data retrieval, client portals, and more. Especially happy with my decision to go with Zoho to handle all my bookkeeping needs.
- I have nothing bad to say about this software.
- Best pro is the user interface and cloud-based solution that can be used on the go. I can track my expenses and access my reports from anywhere anytime. Last but not least, very favorable pricing. I highly recommend.
- The bulk bill payment feature is great...as are the budgeting and staff tracking features.
