Copper CRM's Offerings
Copper has a transparent pricing system that lets users know what they should expect when they sign up for a pricing plan while delivering on their promise. You can access all the advanced features on all the pricing plans for 14 days; however, it has no free version. After this period, you’ll be required to upgrade to a paid plan to keep accessing Copper’s powerful features.
During the 14-day free trial, you can automate tasks, track emails, use marketing tools, and create a sales pipeline based on your business details. The more advanced features include lead scoring, LinkedIn integration, and advanced reporting. Also, it is important to note that Copper bills per user. It might come off as affordable if you’re working with a small team, but the bill becomes quite expensive with a large team.
However, you can incur fewer costs by having your fees billed annually instead of monthly. It is best to commit after you’ve gotten a feel of this software with the free trial.
Customer Support
Copper prioritizes customers by offering diverse options for customer support with resources meant to guide you every step of the way. This company considers individual preferences and needs to provide resources tailored to meet you at your convenience.
It has a blog, community, help center, email support, and phone support option you choose from. This company provides swift responses and comprehensive answers that directly solve problems.
You’ll find a detailed insight into my personal experience using each support option below.
Live Chat
This company brings you in contact with human agents and not a bot. Although it took more than 4 hours before I got a response, the agent took time to understand my challenges before providing a solution that showed empathy. Also, I got a follow-up message when I didn’t respond immediately. All of these conversations were already linked to my email address, so I could easily track the conversation without logging into my account. You can also download a transcript of the conversation in one click.
Email Support
After opening a ticket on Copper and lodging my complaints, I didn’t receive a response until after 24 hours. The agent provided useful resources to solve my problems while encouraging me to make further inquiries if I had any issues implementing the solutions.

Automation
Automate workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Performance:
Copper CRM performs averagely despite its powerful features. After accessing some of the variables, I concluded that the performance is only decent.
Speed
Setting up an account with Copper is fast, and so is the process of uploading customer data. It is seamless and straightforward. However, Copper experiences some technical glitches that last a long time. Sometimes, you have to log in more than once to solve connection errors.
Also, it took 7 hours to access the reports section of this tool because the team had to activate it first. However, after activation, Copper provides accurate analytics within a short time.
Automation
Copper has no templates for creating a workflow rule. However, the entire process takes less than a minute. After activation, the automation features are quite impressive as they function instantly. However, Copper for email marketing automation is impossible. The same can be said about the sales forecasting automation.
Ease Of Use:
The overall experience of using Copper is thrilling. Right from the start, Copper provides adequate support required for you to navigate the platform with ease. Immediately after you finish setup, the live chat section pops up with an agent ready to help you use the software. Also, most features include videos showing details on how to maximize them with a comprehensive product tour.
Setup
Setting up an account with Copper is a breeze. I had to include my personal and company details, including business name, size, industry, and proficiency using CRM tools to get started with the tool. The entire process lasted for about 5 minutes, and there was also the option for me to skip some aspects, so it didn’t come off as cumbersome. However, it was difficult to scroll through the landing page.
Audience Building and Segmenting
Copper offers diverse options to build and segment your audience on the platform. The different pages can import and export data easily; the function is quite visible. Although you can include customer data manually, it is best for you to leverage the 13 different options that Copper provides to prevent building from scratch. Copper allows you to import from CSV, Excel, Google Contacts, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and some CRM tools you could have used previously. You’ll also find a comprehensive guide on how to import data from other CRMs while at it.
Automation
You’ll have to create a workflow rule on Copper from scratch because it has no templates. However, the process is quite straightforward. First, you must choose a name for your automation rule, create a trigger, include a condition, and then an action. This workflow automation covers different pages, including lead, person, opportunity, project, company, and tasks. This feature will help you reduce errors, save time, and provide a superior customer experience since you can update information quickly.
Integrations
Copper allows you to retain a 360-degree view of your customers by leveraging third-party applications. Integrating this software with Slack, Google Drive, Zendesk, Hubspot, Mailchimp, and a host of others helps you complete all your tasks using a single platform. The integration process is smooth, requiring minimal effort to sync your favorite applications with Copper.
Uniqueness:
Copper CRM stands out among others with its simple design and the Google workspace integration that helps businesses work faster. It also has a chrome extension that integrates perfectly with your desktop, especially emails, by enriching your data and even offering templates.
Verdict:
Copper CRM is better suited for businesses that rely heavily on Google workspace to perform most of their business operations. It might not be a great fit if you’re looking for more advanced features. However, if you value simplicity in organizing customer data instead of dealing with complex processes, you can settle for Copper because of its user-friendly design.
It is important to note that this CRM software has no free version; after the 14 days free trial, users must upgrade to a paid version billed annually. Since the pricing plan is billed per user, it can get quite expensive for a large team. However, it has decent features that cover integrations, automation, effective management, customization, and email marketing.
