Google Calendar scheduling's Offerings
It’s cloud-based, so users can access it from any web browser. It’s easy to use, and you can collaborate with anyone who is granted access. In this Google Calendar review, I’ll discuss the Google Workspace plans that include the calendar, Google Calendar cost, Google Calendar pros and cons, and some of the most notable features users can expect from this amazing tool.
To access Google Calendar, you’ll need the Google Workspace tool. There are four main plans for this scheduling tool, all of which include the Google Calendar app.
The Business Starter is a great plan for those who don’t work with a massive amount of documents because it includes up to 30GB of pooled storage per user. It’s the most basic plan with the least features that include a custom email address, the ability to have video meetings with up to 100 participants, security and management controls, and standard customer support. The Google Workspace cost for the Starter plan starts at $7 per month per user when paid yearly.
The Business Standard plan is notably more advanced because it offers significantly more pooled storage per user, up to 150 participants in video meetings, appointment booking pages, email layouts, and the ability to upgrade to enhanced support. The cost for the Business Plus scheduling tool plan starts at $14 per month per user if paid yearly.
Business Plus is very similar to the Business Standard plan, with more pooled storage and more seats in video meetings with optional recording, attendance tracking, and noise cancellation options. It starts at $22 per month if paid yearly.
All of the Google Workspace pricing plans include access to all Google services, such as Gmail, Drive, Meet, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar, as well as optional access to Google’s AI tool, Gemini.
The Google Calendar app can also be used for free with any Gmail account, but with fairly limited features. With the free account, users can create their schedule, add events to their calendar, add tasks to their to-do list, and host Google Meet video conferences.
Customer Support
Google is one of the world’s biggest brands, and it’s expected that customer support is on the highest possible level. However, customer support varies depending on which plan you opt for.
All plans include standard support options. However, users with Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise plans can upgrade to enhanced support, which reduces waiting times and offers more options.
Standard Support:
All plans include standard support options, such as access to Google’s extensive Help Center and community forums. These resources often provide quick solutions to common issues
Enhanced Support (for Business Plans):
Users with Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise plans can upgrade to enhanced support, which offers reduced wait times and additional support options, such as priority email support or phone support.
Community Support:
Google’s large and active user community is a valuable resource for troubleshooting and finding solutions. Many users find answers to their questions quickly through community forums and online discussions.
While Google doesn’t offer 24/7 live chat or phone support for individual users, the combination of self-help resources and community support often proves sufficient for most users.

Online Meeting Scheduling
The online scheduling feature allows users or employees to book appointments or meetings without time-consuming calls and communication. The calendar is automatically updated in real time which eliminates the possibility of double-booking or booking appointments outside of predetermined working hours.
Users can also create booking pages where they share booking availability with their customers or business partners and let them choose a time that works best for them. This is an easy way to eliminate the need to go back and forth to find the most suitable time for an appointment.
To-Do Lists
Having a to-do list within the same platform significantly improves productivity, and users can add due dates for each task and check them off once they’re finished. It’s a great way to keep side tasks written down as soon as they appear. Finished tasks are also saved, so you can go back and see exactly when you’ve done certain tasks.
Gmail Integration
Considering that email communication is mostly used for business purposes, it’s a great thing that users can easily add specific tasks or appointments to their calendars straight from the Gmail app. This works both on web browsers and mobile apps, so users don’t have to worry about forgetting about an important meeting they got notified about through email.
RSVP Options
Having the option to include RSVPs is a great feature to have in a scheduling tool, especially when it comes to larger businesses that have the need to organize larger events. RSVPs can help reduce costs and make planning simpler than usual.
Instead of using Google Calendar as a scheduling tool, it can be used as an event planning tool as well. It’s great for both recurring and one-time events, where organizers can communicate with people who haven’t replied to the invitation.
With the RSVP feature, users can track attendance and use that information for specific data analysis. Users can monitor the success of a specific event, or plan security in case of restricted areas or access.
Mobile Access
Users can also access this scheduling tool on their phone, so it’s easy to organize, manage, and book appointments no matter where you are in the world as long as you’re connected to the internet. Being that the calendar is integrated with other Google apps such as Gmail, users will have a simple and easy way to manage all their meetings and appointments.
Email Event Notifications
The email event notifications are a convenient, and useful feature that allows users to effortlessly remind specific people about upcoming events. Users can also provide specific updates about events or meetings, including time, date, and event location.
Having automatic email notifications as a feature allows users to focus on organizing meetings and events instead of sending reminders to attendees which saves time and resources.
Color-Coded Events
When your calendar is full of meetings and different types of events, the coloring customization options comes in very handy. By choosing different colors for different events, you can prioritize meetings by priority and improve productivity and your calendar’s visual appeal.
With color-coded events, you’ll be able to categorize all the events in your calendar, whether events are business-related, personal, or anything in between.
Integration with Google Meet
When an event is created in the Google Calendar app, users can automatically generate a Google Meet link with which other users can join the meeting at a specific time. This integration with Google Meet saves time and allows users to easily create video meetings without using several apps at once. By keeping everything within a single platform, users can notice a boost in efficiency and productivity.
Public Calendars
This feature allows users to create and share public calendars, just like regular ones, only for a wide audience. These are great for public events, large business events, educational events, and much more. By using publicly accessible calendars, you can keep large numbers of attendees up-to-date with the latest information regarding your events or schedule.
These are commonly used by businesses that need to schedule appointments with a large number of people.

Add-Ons
Enhance scheduling capabilities with additional features.

Platforms
Accessible across various platforms for versatile use.

Performance:
Google is known for high-performing apps, and the Calendar app is no exception. I’ll dive into how it delivers speed and efficiency specifically.
Because it’s a cloud-based calendar scheduler, it’s essential to know that it requires an internet connection to work. The design is simple and user-friendly, and you can quickly access the platform from your PC or mobile device as long as you’re connected to the internet. The simple design makes it fast to load, even if you don’t use fast WiFi internet.
The mobile version works as fast as the web version, with all the features and capabilities available in the handheld device. The best thing is that all updates in the Google Calendar scheduling software are instantly visible to all users with granted access.
Since all of Google’s apps within the Workspace platform have been around for years, it rarely happens that one of the apps crashes or loses information.
Ease Of Use:
I found it super easy to create an account and start using Google Calendar as a scheduling tool. Within a few minutes, you can set up your account and be ready to explore the possibilities. The interface is made to be user-friendly, so there’s no big learning curve.
With a booking page, you can easily share your calendar and have others book appointments with you when you have openings. It’s as easy to use the platform whether you use it solo or you have a full-sized team working with you.
Verdict:
Google Calendar is an amazing business tool. It can be used for many things, even as a scheduling tool. Although there are several Google Calendar pros and cons, this platform compensates for its disadvantages with some incredible features that allow users to increase their productivity and business efficiency.
Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or you manage a company with 500 employees, many features and functionalities will prove themselves useful quickly. From booking appointments to creating a day-to-day to-do list, you’ll realize that the Google Workspace cost is nothing compared to the increased productivity you’ll have.
