Keap CRM's Offerings

Although Keap has no free version, you can access the free trial for 14 days without including your credit card details. However, accessing the free trial was tough at first; I encountered complications while trying to set it up, and it was almost impossible to use the free trial until I contacted customer support. The company offers you access to most of the features to manage your customer data effectively within 14 days for free.

Keap allows you to know the progress of every client and lead by knowing their status so you can respond quickly. However, if you want to keep enjoying the features and benefits of this software, you’ll have to upgrade to a paid plan. Although the paid plan accommodates more than 1 person and handles thousands of contacts, most teams consider it expensive.

You can increase the contacts you plan to reach using the paid plan. However, you’ll also have to incur more costs with this action. With the paid plan, you can get a dedicated phone line if you live in the US or Canada, lead capture, and follow-up, including promo codes. Allowing your fees to be billed annually will help you save 20% from the initial fee.

Keap prioritizes customers by offering diverse channels and resources to ensure users enjoy adequate guidance when using the CRM tool. This company has an accessible live chat, an active community, email support, phone support, and videos that explicitly shows you how to use the tool to your advantage. You’ll also find podcasts hosted by industry experts and written content on diverse topics that can positively impact business growth.

Here is an overview of my personal experience using customer support and the available resources.

Email Support

After sending an email to the support team on Keap, I got a response in one hour that showed sympathy and attention to the problem I was trying to address. The steps I was required to take were carefully outlined and impossible for anyone to miss. However, no definitive solution was offered after providing the company with the necessary information to assist me in using the tool. There was also an opportunity to call the sales representative directly or book a meeting to proffer a solution to my problem.

Keap uses a live bot that offers instant responses to users throughout the day. However, this live bot is limited, so it links you up with a team member on Keap so I can get the help I require. I had to include my first name, email address, and phone number so I could be reached easily.

Unlike most companies that make it difficult for customers to find numbers to contact, Keap makes the numbers you should contact visible. With a single click, I could access the number. After placing a call, I was instructed to input numbers based on my problems, but I was later referred to the live chat section because support was unavailable at that time.

Keap has two different blogs, a product blog, and a marketing blog. The marketing blog covers subjects on marketing, sales, business management, growth, and customer service. This blog is regularly updated with valuable tips that businesses can leverage to stand out in a competitive space.

Keap steps up its game in CRM by offering business owners a free business number. You’ll get a local phone number, access business voicemail, and be able to access these via mobile and desktop. It lets you clearly distinguish between personal and business interactions without getting overwhelmed. However, Keap does not offer toll-free numbers to entrepreneurs.

Keap provides ample support for users to help them navigate the software easily. You can also find videos in the resource center that will serve as a step-by-step guide to using the feature on Keap.

Setup

Creating an account with Keap has its initial hassles. This company has a spam filter feature that can make it difficult for you to access the free trial. However, once you’ve resolved the hassle, you can continue to use the tool smoothly. You’ll have to include your business email, phone number, and first and last name to fully access this application’s features. Afterward, you can import files containing your customer data without any hassles.

Audience Building and Segmenting

Building your audience on Keap is quite straightforward. Once I clicked on “Contacts,” I saw an option to “Import Contacts,” which I followed. Keap allows you to import contacts from Google, Mailchimp, Hubspot, Phone contact, and the traditional spreadsheet file. You can import your previous information from these third-party sites to save time.

However, if you already have a spreadsheet with accurate details, you can import it to Keap. It takes you through a simple three-step process where you “Upload,” “Match,” and “Finish.” This process is also simple with third-party applications.

Automation

Keap has a powerful automation feature that effectively covers sales and marketing tasks. However, this software has two types of automation: easy and advanced. Creating easy automation on Keap requires you simply automate monotonous tasks using “when” and “then.”

On the other hand, creating advanced automation on Keap requires more technical understanding, but there’s a free course and how to fully navigate it on the platform.

Verdict:

When compared with its counterparts, Keap CRM is quite pricey, which is a major turnoff for most small businesses with a decent budget. It is somewhat ironic that this company serves small businesses but fails to provide a pricing plan that accommodates them, and it also has no free version.

However, if you’re interested in using CRM software that covers all your essential needs, Keap offers these features with adequate resources to leverage them. Also, there’s a learning curve to using this software, and if you’re unfamiliar with the tool, it is advisable for you to take some of the product training.

Ultimately, it is difficult to overlook the powerful features Keap has, especially the advanced automation, email marketing, business line, and e-commerce functionalities built to benefit business owners.
