Kintone CRM's Offerings
Kintone CRM gives a free and fair pricing scheme, such that individuals or companies of different capacities can pay for the service. Even startups with limited resources can use this software to gain massive results. The monthly subscription for a user costs $24/mo. The price increases progressively as the number of users increases.
However, Kintone offers a free trial of 30 days for anyone seeking to gain a first-hand experience with the software before deciding to pay for the full package. During the free trial, subscribers are given unlimited access to the software and are also entitled to all the features of paid subscription.
When the time span for the free trial has elapsed, you can renew the trial again for another 30 days. But the problem with renewing a free trial is that previous data and records are not restored on renewal. Therefore, instead of renewing a free trial, it is advisable you use a paid plan after the first free trial, to gain access to the previous data you previously created.
Customer Support
Kintone offers adequate support to ensure that customers are satisfied with the service. Through videos, emails, phone calls, live chats and other means, the Kintone customer support team can give you guidelines to organize your data and create a centralised work environment for easy collaboration with your team.
Email support
Reaching out to the Kintone email support team proves to be a reliable way to get prompt and detailed responses to your requests. Though it may take a little while to get your response, an automated email would first be sent to you, to assure you that your request has been received, and, when the response comes, it is detailed and shows a lot of care from the team.
Phone Support
Getting on a call with a customer care representative is one of the best ways to relay your request and get a satisfying response, however, the Kintone support team is not often available to pick up calls or give a direct response to users’ requests. You may have to put a call through several times to reach them. However, when they do, they show a lot of care and respond promptly.
Chatbot
At the time I resolved to use Kintone live chat, I was informed beforehand about the unavailability of the human support team. However, I had a short and fruitful conversation with Kintone automated chatbot.
Even though I would have preferred chatting with a human, my chat with the Bot was quick and productive. Now, imagine how smooth and friendly it would be if the conversation had happened with a human.
After careful research, I found out that the human support teams are only available from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday to Friday, and, because I made this chat outside their business hours, I got a response from ChatBot, instead.

Task management
Kintone software feature the task management tool, called to-do app, which helps team members to schedule tasks and track their progress till completion. It gives room for transparency and flexibility. It allows you to create tasks with detailed descriptions and also attach deadlines to each task.
If your team needs additional files to get a better understanding of the task, you can use the attachment feature to add files and documents to the task. You can also set reminders to notify team members of each task deadline.
Data Management
If data is not properly organized, it could lead to data loss or misplacement. Therefore, Kintone helps in data management by keeping closely-related files together, with correct labeling for easy identification. Included in this feature are detailed access permission to viewing and editing rights, search for text and attachments, comment feature, etc.
Database apps can also be created from scratch using the drag-and-drop app builder feature. You can also use the numerous available templates that are provided. It’s easier to use templates, but, if you desire to explore your creativity by starting to build from scratch, you can go ahead.
Streamline communication with integrated email tools.

Sales Lead Management
This feature enables you to easily prioritize your leads, nurture them and track their conversion process. You can access this tool by clicking on the Add App icon, navigating and clicking on the Sales section, and then you’ll find the Sales Leads Management app. Add it and start using it.
Customer Database
With the Kintone customer database, you can keep track of all your customer’s information, make edits and make collaboration with your team using the comment feature.
Automation
Kintone allows several workflow automation features including email marketing automation, lead segmenting automation and sales flow. However, this CRM software does not have prebuilt templates that you can customize. So, you have to build all your workflow automation from scratch.
Performance:
Speed
Uploading files into the Kintone CRM software is affected by several factors, including my internet connectivity and location. Being in the US keeps me close to the Kintone host servers, so uploads were fast. It’ll be challenging to predict the pace in other regions, considering that Kintone doesn’t use a content distribution network.
Ease Of Use:
Every new user is toured through the software and taught how to use each feature effectively. It requires no technical skill to set up, as workspaces can be easily set up for collaboration through the drag-and-drop technique. If it gets a little clumsy while using the software, you can quickly refer to the videos on the platform. I found it a little hard to understand the tool until I watched some videos.
Setup
Setting up a Kintone CRM tool is very easy. After visiting the website, you’ll find the Free Trial icon at the top right corner of the page. Click on it and fill in your details, including your name, email address, phone number, company name and company size.
It’s a very short process that does not require you to input your credit card details and other processes that make signing up long and boring. When you’re done with that, you’ll get a short tutorial on how to navigate the software. You can also check your email to get more resources on how to use the tool.
Customizing CRM Tool
Depending on your specific needs, Kintone is a very flexible and easy tool to customize your customer’s database and track their latest sales activity. To customize the app theme, first, click on the plus icon to add more apps to your workspace. There are many options to choose from, so you can click only the ones you need and start customizing them.
Start customizing by clicking on an app (e.g To-do app), followed by clicking on the settings icon, then click on app settings from the options at the top page. Under general settings, you’ll find options to customize appearance, color themes and more. Choose the features that suit you, add a description, save and click on Update App to save changes.
Drag-and-drop editor
All you need to do when designing an app using this technique is to identify the tools you need in the variety of options available and drag them to the space provided. It’s very easy and effective. You can also choose from the numerous templates available if building from scratch would be too stressful for you
Uniqueness:
Kintone stands to be more flexible and accommodates solutions to the specific needs of all kinds of businesses. It ensures the secure sharing of data among users. Also, it requires no coding experience to build apps with the software. It’s rare to find a CRM tool whose free plan gives as many benefits as Kintone gives.
Verdict:
Every organization with valued customers knows the importance of customer relationships, and the Kintone CRM software is an important tool that helps small, medium and large businesses to grow in this aspect. It is also effective for education, government and nonprofit organizations. Though the software is designed for teams to work together, it is also suitable for individual use. This implies that students and sole proprietors can also get a satisfying experience with this software.
Unlike other software, Kintone is very affordable and gives more value for the price paid even though it offers only one pricing plan. The 30 days free trial is a plethora of goodness; it gives adequate access to all the software features and can be used for short-term projects. However, I believe there are still slight improvements to be made to the tool’s features and functionalities, which could make it work better in the coming days.
