Reveal Analytics

Nextiva discovers insights by gamifying employees’ performance data and making QA a breeze with rating and call recording. Moreover, Analytics helps you to analyze business trends. You can also use reports and dashboards to track calls in real-time.

Devices

Nextiva supports a wide range of devices, offering users flexibility. I tested it on various platforms during my trial, including desktop computers, mobile phones, and IP desk phones. The software is compatible with major operating systems like Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.

Their mobile app is particularly noteworthy. It provides all the essential features, such as call forwarding, voicemail, and contact management, in a sleek and intuitive interface, making it easy to stay connected while on the go. On desktop, the web and desktop apps are equally powerful, with a simple dashboard that lets you manage calls, messages, and team communications effortlessly.

Nextiva also integrates with IP phones from leading brands like Cisco and Polycom. I tested it with a Cisco IP phone, and the setup was straightforward, thanks to Nextiva’s detailed guides and responsive support team. The call quality on the IP phone was indistinguishable from traditional landlines, which speaks volumes about the platform’s capabilities.

Calling

Nextiva offers a variety of calling options to cater to different needs. Its basic calling features cover everything a business could ask for, including unlimited local and long-distance calling. The platform also supports toll-free numbers, ideal for businesses looking to enhance their customer service experience.

Voicemail is another strong point. The system offers voicemail-to-email functionality, allowing me to receive audio files of missed calls directly in my inbox. This is incredibly convenient when I’m multitasking or traveling. Another handy feature is call forwarding, which ensures I never miss important calls, whether in the office or away.

The platform also includes a “Do Not Disturb” mode, which proved useful during focused work sessions. Additionally, seamlessly transferring calls between devices, like from my desktop app to my mobile app, was a game-changer.

Advanced Calling

Nextiva excels in its advanced calling features, offering tools beyond basic communication. Here’s a breakdown of the standout options I explored:

Call Analytics
Nextiva provides detailed call analytics, allowing me to monitor call durations, peak times, and overall usage. This feature is invaluable for businesses that rely heavily on phone interactions, as it offers insights to optimize operations.

Auto-Attendant
The auto-attendant feature lets me set up a virtual receptionist. This helped streamline call routing, ensuring customers reached the right departments without needing manual intervention. The customization options allowed me to create a professional and user-friendly experience.

Call Recording
Call recording was easy to enable and offered high-quality audio playback. This is perfect for training and compliance, as recordings can be stored and reviewed directly from the platform.

Conference Calling
I hosted several conference calls using Nextiva, and the process was seamless. It supports many participants, and the call quality remained consistent throughout. Features like screen sharing and video integration further enhanced the collaboration experience.

CRM Integration
One of Nextiva’s standout features is its integration with CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot. This integration automatically syncs call logs and customer interactions, boosting productivity significantly.

AI-Powered Tools
Nextiva leverages artificial intelligence to provide predictive analytics and sentiment analysis. While I didn’t fully explore the AI tools, the initial results were promising, especially for customer service teams looking to gauge caller satisfaction in real time.

Performance:

Nextiva delivers exceptional performance when it comes to VoIP services. The software is built on a robust infrastructure, which ensures minimal downtime and high-quality call experiences. Calls are clear and uninterrupted, even during peak usage times. The platform uses advanced compression technologies and redundant servers to maintain optimal performance, even in inconsistent internet speeds.

I noticed that Nextiva’s call latency is impressively low, often outperforming competitors. I tested this by conducting multiple international and local calls, and the delay was virtually unnoticeable. Its system is also incredibly scalable, making it a great fit for small businesses and large enterprises. Whether I was handling a single call or a multi-party conference, the platform maintained its stability.

Ease Of Use:

Nextiva VoIP phone system can be set up in minutes. You don’t need to wait for installing this phone app. You just need a broadband internet connection and follow the setup guidelines that are available online. Moreover, Nextiva’s product experts can provide you with on-premise training, one-to-many webinars, and live video conferencing to get the most out of your business’ calling plan.

Uniqueness:

Nextiva stands out as a powerful and reliable VoIP solution. Its performance is consistently strong, and the range of supported devices ensures it can adapt to any business setup. The software’s flexibility, extensive calling, and advanced features make it a top choice for businesses of all sizes.

That said, there are a few areas where it could improve. For instance, while the mobile app is excellent, it could benefit from additional customization options. Additionally, pricing might concern smaller businesses, as some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans.

Verdict:

Nextiva is a powerful business phone system that gives clients flexibility and scalability. Clients can go anywhere and stay connected with everyone. If you are not near your desktop phone, a Nextiva mobile device allows you to make video and audio calls, send instant messages with team members, and see who is busy and who is available.

Nextiva is great
The system is relatively easy to use and reliable. The customer service is top-notch.
Dislike:
  • Sometimes, the app can be a bit glitchy. The application lacks the ability to set an out-of-office message remotely, which is inconvenient. Otherwise, it works well. Billing is also a bit confusing, but pricing is reasonable.
