So, depending on what your needs are, you can choose one of the four pricing plans available on the platform. From the cheapest plan (Personal) to the most sophisticated option (Prime), you can enjoy full creative freedom as to how your business should look on the World Wide Web.
The good news, however, is that you don’t need to immediately pay for these plans before using Volusion. You can use the 14-day free trial to test the waters and see if it’s the best solution for your business.

Email Support
Volusion is big on email support. Their email address is always visible on their website for you to reach them. Immediately after I sent an email requesting more information about their Prime package, I was notified of an open ticket. Even though I sent the email outside official work hours, I received a response to the mail in less than 90 minutes. It’s not a record-breaking response time, but given my experience with email support, outside-work-hour responses to emails are like pearls in oyster shells.
Phone Support
The Volusion support team welcomes phone calls from its customers. Sadly, however, those using the Personal and Professional Plans are prohibited from calling the phone lines. Heartbreaking!
When I called the phone line, an expert connected with me on the phone almost immediately and the first thing he asked for was my support PIN, which you can find by hovering over your profile avatar on the top right corner of your dashboard.
Once, I provided the PIN, the support expert immediately confirmed my current plan and offer his support accordingly. He was very professional and courteous. Much respect!
Live Chat
You can chat with an expert live, regardless of what pricing plan you’re using. This compensates greatly for the lack of phone support when you’re using the Personal or Professional plan. Who cares about phones when you can text, right?
Sadly, this support option isn’t accessible to users during the 14-day free trial. So, you need to actually pay for a plan before the live chat bubble will appear on your homepage.
The response from the support on this channel was timely and comprehensive. I even got connected to a real human in about 3 minutes. Smooth, isn’t it?

Volusion has dozens of features to offer its users. The website builder, for one, is a feature worth that has turned into a product of its own. Along with this web builder, customers can enjoy both sub-features and major features that are offered by this e-commerce solutions provider. Some of these features are highlighted below.

After building with the Volusion website builder, my website took a little longer than 5 seconds to load its components. That’s not very impressive given the general statistics.

Once you get that out of the way, you’ll find yourself in the dashboard and your creative adventures begin.
Designing
Designing a website means ensuring that the various elements of your web pages align with your brand identity. This includes texts, forms, buttons, images, and more.
Text Styling
Working with texts is super simple. All you have to do is click the text section that you want to edit and a window will pop up for you to work on those texts. Form Customization
By clicking one of the many “+” icons that pop up within the Website Designer, you can add a section containing forms. Once the form is on your website, you will be required to set up Google ReCaptcha to avoid spam and server-crashing form submissions.
However, you can easily add new fields and customize your form to be more interactive. Your ability to do all that is right on the left panel of the Designer interface, as shown in my video below.
Button Designing
When working on buttons, Volusion doesn’t offer as much creative freedom as other leading website builders. You can only choose from one of two predefined button design templates (Primary and secondary design templates). It’s understandable that buttons should look uniform across a website but everyone could use a little flexibility here and there. Here’s what it feels like to design a button on the Volusion Website Builder.
App Integration
To add apps, you can head right to the App Marketplace, where you can find your favorite apps. Although some other website builders offer hundreds of apps to their users, Volusion allows you to integrate just over 70 verified apps that matter from its marketplace. Other integrations can go through third-party connectors like Zapier.

Talking (or better still, writing) about the e-commerce solutions available on Volusion, it’s safe to posit that this website builder is best suited for e-commerce businesses of all sizes.
Also, given that Volusion’s pricing plans are dependent on your annual Gross Merchant Value (GMV), the company has a better motivation to help you grow your business.
