Vonage VoIP's Offerings
It is possible to subscribe to one of the lower-priced plans and purchase additional features you may need. This allows more flexibility to configure the setup while maintaining a lower cost. Vonage’s pricing plans decrease as more users are added.
Vonage offers three business phone systems: Mobile, Premium, and Advanced.
Mobile – A simple, reliable VoIP phone service with unlimited domestic calling, SMS/MMS, voicemail, and support for desktop and mobile apps. 12-month promo: $13.99/month per line (regular $19.99).
Premium – Includes all Mobile features plus VoIP desk phone support, unlimited video meetings (up to 200 participants), team messaging, VBC App Center, and Single Sign-On. 12-month promo: $20.99/month per line (regular $29.99).
Advanced – Includes all Premium features plus on-demand call recording (15 hours/month), visual voicemail with transcription, and call groups for team collaboration. 12-month promo: $27.99/month per line (regular $39.99).
All plans include unlimited calls within the US, Canada, and Mexico, unlimited texts within the US and Canada, and unlimited team messaging. All plans also include access to the Vonage App Center, which has over twenty native integrations with third-party software and applications.
Vonage has an interesting pricing policy that many will find attractive. Prices are given per month per user, but on the website, you are presented with a slider that can be adjusted to indicate the number of users you want to pay for. As the slider is increased, the prices decrease by two dollars per month per user at five users and above and by five dollars per month per user at 20 users and above. For 100 users or more, the website states you should contact a sales representative, indicating that even lower prices can be achieved.
The prices shown below are for one to four users and do not include taxes or fees. Taxes depend on the customer’s location, while fees typically include activation fees, shipping fees, and early termination fees, among others, but they may be waived as part of an offer. Additional discounts for annual billing do not seem to be available.
Customer Support
Vonage has a knowledge base accessible anytime. Assistance is available by chat Monday through Friday from 9 am to 9 pm ET or by submitting a case online. Customer support is available through a toll-free number, and on-call support is available after hours for emergencies.
Features & Functionality
General Features
Vonage emphasizes three primary focuses for its VoIP solutions: unified communication systems, a full call center feature set, and its communications API environment. This is ideal for businesses with over 1,000 employees or smaller operations.
General Features:

Other than the most popular telephony features, Vonage delivers:

- Vonage Meetings is an intuitive video collaboration solution that is made available across your organization.
- An easy-to-use and intuitive user portal that allows individual phone users to configure and manage their extensions themselves.

Communication APIs
On its website, a service that is very prominently displayed is the Communications APIs service, and this prominence reflects the importance that Vonage places on this offering. The service was introduced when Vonage acquired both Nexmo and TokBox, two complementary API development platforms that focused on communications APIs and video APIs, respectively. Vonage says the developers’ community is alive and vibrant, with over 940,000 registered developers. The result is a platform on which customized communication and video APIs can be designed, developed, and deployed to function with your communication system.
An application programming interface is a software intermediary that allows two applications to communicate. It is essentially a piece of software that translates the language one application speaks to that of another. In this context, this service enables Vonage unified communications and call center services to achieve deep integration with third-party business software applications, including helpdesk, CRM, and collaboration platforms, delivering information from these platforms to agents and users of the service.
