Rippling Payroll Services's Offerings
Currently, there is no visible plan or pricing structure for Rippling’s services on their website aside from a listed $8 per employee, per month claim. To obtain pricing information, you must request a quote from them. Based on your business needs, Rippling will provide an estimate of the cost of using their services.
Regardless of the estimate you receive, you will need to purchase the core Rippling Unity software along with each product module (such as Payroll, HR, etc.) that your business requires. To determine if the software is suitable for your needs, you can take the software’s 30-minute demo.
For businesses with over two or three employees, Rippling is the priciest option available. It does, however, offer a more comprehensive HR solution compared to competitors.
Customer Support
Rippling customer support does not list specific days and times, but it does have a Real-Time Support status page on the site with published support metrics in real-time.
Email Support
There is no direct email support available, but I was able to submit a request through their online submission form. I received a reply within 3 hours asking for additional business information.
Live Phone Conversation
My phone consultation with the Rippling support team was helpful and centered around scheduling a product demo. I received a callback following a chatbot request.
Chatbot
There is a customer support chatbot on the Rippling site that redirects to a live chat when available.
Online Resources
Rippling has a searchable blog on the website divided into categories. They also have templates and an events calendar under the Resource tab. There is also a Help Center with FAQs and easy-to-search topics. Rippling also has a dedicated YouTube Channel with tutorials and helpful tips.
Overall Experience
My overall experience with their support was positive. The site makes multiple attempts to funnel a user into a phone call, which is helpful to new users needing a price quote. As expected, this leads to upsell attempts.

Mobile App
The Rippling mobile app is intuitive and can handle all the functions of the browser interface on the go.
Integrations
Rippling offers multiple HR, IT, and Finance integrations through their App Shop. Some of these include Google Workspace, DropBox, Slack, and Zoom.

Creating an account is fairly straightforward after you speak to a representative. Once you input your business information, you’ll need to choose services and indicate if you need third-party software for payroll, accounting, or HR. The platform offers a setup guide for new users.
Sign-Up
The following business information is required to create a Payroll account:
●Business Tax ID/EIN – This will be verified by Rippling
●Business Banking Information – This will be verified by Rippling
●Business Mailing Address
To run Payroll, employee/contractor address, SSN, and banking information is also needed. *Only address and SSN are needed if payment will be via paper check.

Rippling Payroll is ideal for companies with a remote or distributed workforce, as well as those who want to streamline their HR processes, from onboarding to payroll to benefits. It’s also suitable for businesses that need to comply with tax and labor laws in multiple jurisdictions, as Rippling offers international payroll capabilities. It’s easy to use, customizable, and scalable, and it offers excellent customer support and resources.
