Zenefits provides three plans: Essentials, Growth, and Zen, designed to cater to your specific feature requirements and budget preferences. All plans are priced per user, making them cost-effective for small to medium-sized businesses. Additionally, the plans are available with monthly or annual billing options, offering flexibility to suit your business needs.

There is also the Enterprise Plan for a more customized HR approach. This requires a consultation from Zenefits.

Their HR Base Plans and Add-Ons have a minimum of 5 employees. You can have fewer employees using the Zenefits platform than this, but you will still be charged for the minimum 5 employees for each of the products and services you use.

Their Payroll add-on costs an additional $6/mo per employee.

Zenefits Advisors are available to help answer questions via email or phone Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm PST.

Chatbot

The Zenbot chatbot is readily available on the website but generally redirects the user to the sales team during business hours.

Email Support

I sent an inquiry regarding a minimum required employees for add-ons and received a generic response within 12 hours. The representative did not address the original issue.

Live Phone Conversation

My phone consultation with the SuitePeople Payroll Sales Team was pleasant and there were minimal upsell attempts. My call was answered on the 4th ring followed by a 30-second hold time.

Online Resources

The website has several support sections divided into Resources, WORKEST blog, a searchable TriNet page, and a training portal with video tutorials.

Zenefits also has a dedicated YouTube Channel & People Ops Podcast.

Overall Experience

My overall experience with their support was very positive. As with most payroll platforms, options are limited until the user completes the account setup process.

As well as the general features that you will come across with most payroll specialists, Zenefits also offers a range of other interesting features:

The platform is easy to use and offers a range of features, making it a good fit for businesses that want to streamline their HR processes and reduce administrative tasks.Their customer support resources are some of the most comprehensive I’ve seen in software platform and include video tutorials, plenty of literature, and a podcastHowever, the platform does not offer international support and a user will pay for 5 employees for certain add-ons whether you have them or not.
